- This was the first trip with our 8 weeks old puppies with mother NOVA.
While the puppies are following their mother and want to have some milk, NOVA tells them to stop it and leave her in peace. The reaction of the puppies is amazing!

This is why it's so important for puppies to stay with their dam until they are eight weeks old - they get their first important lessons in the concept of discipline from her. This girl is teaching her puppies that the world does not revolve around them, and that they are required to take orders from those further up the pack order - right now it's her, soon it will be the humans of their foreverhomes. She does a wonderful job, and they get a valuable life lesson.

There isn’t actually a pack order like that, it’s just the parents usually leading the pack. But it still applies

@@lydialilybellevalley2297 It's called WEENING, Einstein! The idea is to get them off of their mother's milk so that they can eat solid food full-time. The pups are getting too old for nursing. I mean, just look at how big they are; it be hard enough for just three of them to fit beneath her undercarriage! Not only that, their teeth have well grown in by that time; it's painful on the mother. Heck! The pups might not be hungry at all; the habit of suckling is persistent. Overall, the mother is doing this for both her and their own good.
Pups will not only bite (with these sharp puppy teeth) but also claw their way up. Kudos to the mom for putting a stop to it.

My kids are all over 18 and this is exactly how I feel when they open the fridge.

I remember watching another video on here of another Golden Retriever mother REALLY growling and baring her teeth to her pups to let them know this wasn't feeding time and they got the message a LOT quicker but in that video the dogs were in a small room.
In this video the momma knows she could probably do the same thing as the other dog but she is outside with room to run so I'm sure she's such a sweet dog that she thought maybe I can just keep outrunning them? 😂 but she underestimated the energy levels of puppys who see food

I used to feel somewhat bad when it was time for puppies to be separated from momma and sold off to new homes of their own. However, I learned only recently that the mother dog is pretty much glad to be rid of them because of this very reason. They can be collectively a nuisance.
An animals purpose is to reproduce. She's done her job and her puppies will be taken care of

@@M0t0Daddy it costs money to care for animals. It costs even more money to care for a litter and puppies. Dog food, toys, training pads, medicine, shots, and dedicated training and love costs lots of money and time.
Its unrealistic not to charge, no one would be able to financially support a litter. No one would be able to have the opportunity to have healthy and loving puppies.

This is a very very good looking golden retriever. I’ve see so many examples of American goldens with hyper exaggerated floppy lips, shorter legs and huge body in general. It’s lovely to see a more proportionate animal.

That's so funny and yet adorable. Hence proved children of any species are real trouble some and it's always mom who has the pain to handle the little ones and their pain causing life. But it's always mother who the little ones wants the most.

Sometimes you got to be the parent. Even though feelings are hurt, kids have got to be taught lessons that they too will need to know when it’s their time to be parents.
And this is an example of why there is nothing wrong with using fair and consistent physical pressure/corrections at the correct times, in good training, it’s literally how dogs communicate

We have always had golden retrievers. They are the best breed for my personality. Loveable, loyal, goofy, and playful.
The one with the red collar really got the message. He just sat there and eventually wandered off into the bushes to have a forage. He’s the one to pick of the litter, bright, catches on and doesn’t nag.
Mummy is hilarious... "this is the toughest game of tag Ive ever played but at least I'm burning off my extra puppy-weight"!

@@madheretic4423 Yes, most breeders do force, or rather strongly help dogs to mate. Most female dogs don't want to mate once they experienced the pain of it + pain of birth and how exhausting pregnancy and motherhood is, but most breeders create perfect conditions for them to not be able to escape the mating process. It's not difficult to see that it is painful for them since they whine and whimper and try to run away. Unfortunately, there are videos on youtube of dogs making babies that I'm sure anyone who typed "dogs" - especially in the past when youtube was even less moderated than it is now - has accidentally seen and traumatised themselves.

They quickly got the message and sat down and got thinking. God sure must love animals. He made so many different kinds of species mankind is sending probes to the outter edges of the galaxy and we still haven't identified all of them yet. We serve one God, one true God who is so majestic we can't possibly fathom what he has in store for us next when we ween our selves from this limited dimension.

I believe many ladies should learn how to adopt this same concept. Where in the world did we learn that we had to be super human and run ourselves in the ground to care for our children?
That’s why many women are worn out, certain types of depression, physically ill, and lifeless.
There has to be time made to have to oneself. Even with children demanding your time. It’s important to teach them that you are more than their mother but also a person who needs personal space, time to yourself without interference and relaxation. It’s not neglect and they will be fine. Self care is never selfish. It’s necessary
They're just naturally attracted to the scent of her milk. When it's initially their only food, they just want it. I get why momma is frustrated though. So many pups, their relentless hunger, no spacial boundaries and sharp teeth!
