The Classical Okinawan Kata are not for entertainment, but to teach the individual how to fight in a real life violent confrontation. Sadly the advent of sport have diminished the nature of Budo. Do you ever read on the history and culture of Okinawa or Japan? Do have a knowledge of Budo, Bujutsu, Bugei, have you ever been a student of a Okinawan or Japanese instructor?
