next video idea:
Taking EVEN MORE large format portraits of strangers
Would watch 10 more of these
Ok
That double exposure is amazing! I love how each of them is taking turns addressing the camera
#happyaccidents
that double exposure is perfect. literally a beautiful mistake
Could be worse!
If it was a landscape it would be a Happy Accident
the double exposure is kind of fire
Agreed!
The double exposure shot is great!
The portrait of Eamon on the floor is stunning 😍
That double exposure is dope though
beautiful! i also prefer the black and white when I'm usually more into colour. somehow i think the b&w shows more soul and personality and seem more timeless
i actually really loved the color! really loved the purple undertones and warm skin tones 💯
I agree the black and white works better. It's best when the depth of field isolates your sitters. I wonder if taking a series of shots on a digital camera might warm them up so they're positioned less like in a Victorian portrait? On the other hand you could seek out sitters in Victorian dress and homes?! There's something about 8x10 that seems to impose a quietness, but it's also a static quietness, or maybe a formality.
That double exposure is the bomb. I don't get why you wouldn't vibe it that much
Love this large format series! Definitely keep it going!
Dude, that double exposure turned out amazeballs.
I did not know photos of strangers can be so pleasing, fascinating portraits those are...
More large format, please!
These are some great images, looking forward to seeing more of them.
U am just loving these portraits. They really deserve to be persued. Just next level and a pleasure to see how the story unfolds. Thanks
Wow, more beautiful photos in this series!
these images are so legit. you are finding such good looking people
Really nice portraits. congrats! Love the way the light is rendered.
Also digging the b&w more than the color. Can’t wait to see more!!
Really enjoying this series of videos. The 8x10 is fascinating.
Some really beautiful portraits George. I know you are always open and experimenting with other genres / styles, but you are an excellent portrait photographer.
Loving this series/project, I would love to see a video from Paris if possible!
I love this format, i would like to see more of portrait of strangers
thought the first episode was really cool, and now it keeps getting better
the double exposure is actually very similar to an old trend from the 70s (i think). i’ve got a photo of my dad exactly like this. so rad.
Nice pics, thanks for showing us.
I like the double!
Very cool !
LOVE THE PHOTOS LOVE THE VEGYN TEE
that double exposed one was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Good on you coming clean on your mistake. There is no wisdom without humility.
Beautiful mistake. The double exposure was surreal
Hey up George m8! Blooming brilliant camera. Tell us more about it. An original heritage camera or new built?
you should have some sort of podcast or something, i could listen to you talk for hours haha
oh and my favorite pic from this video is probably the one of the person laying on the ground! but loving the series so far
Maybe one day!
Great pictures. How were you focusing and did you use any tilt/swing?
Also can you recommend a good monitor for editing? I love your videos by the way and your photography is just beautiful 😍😍😍😍😍
do more outdoor film photography with a studio strobe and the fisheye, the shots u took for ur friend for the music video in that one video were interesting
Hey, saw you at the Centre Pompidou in Paris! I kinda wanted to say hi but didn't react nearly quick enough... I thought I'd let a little comment here to take my chance back. Hope you're having a great time over there! 🍻
Thank you! Nice to almost meet you
we live and we learn
george have you considered taking PICTURES
How did you scan the 8x10 film sheets? Camera scanning? How did you hold the sheet film flat?
Epson v850
film something in paris pls
Lovely pictures.. but where’s you shirt from??
I was wondering, how do you go about posing your models? Do you give them directions or do you give them freedom to do whatever? Great pictures!
It’s a bit of both, I definitely try to control the scene whilst still making sure that they are in a position that they feel is natural
Hey I was just wondering which diffusion filter you use? Is it a promist 1/2 or 1?
1. does anyone know the name of the large format camera and lens he is using
2. does anyone know how he got that POV angle at 1:03
Nice. Saw you on Tiktok as well.
Great double accidental exposure!! I also have started BW film use also and I also have started to like it more too. I think that is as you say, “maybe is due to the lack of restoring the color and just liking the way BW film comes out” or the great way that any photo looks on BW 🤣🤣🤣
Exactly how did you get your subjects? I'm also a photographer and I'm struggling to find people to photograph right now 😿
I can tell that’s a chamonix holder by that way the dark slide struggled to insert smoothly lol
Lol it’s never betrayed me with a light leak though
I think your 'mistake' has more to say than the other portraits 🤔
I do like the soft black and white look 👍
so since the max aperture is 5.6, do you still meter the same for large format as you do for 35 even though the film is capturing more detail?
Metering is generally not affected by film size
The only variables for exposure are iso, aperture and shutter speed (if you don't use filters)
F5.6 on large format cameras is much bigger than on 35mm because the lenses have longer equivalent focal lengths, so exposure settings will transfer over completely fine, except for when bellows extension has to be factored in
i think a saw you yesterday in paris, strange coincidence. How was your day with that girl ;) ? Nice video dude, see you
She has been my girlfriend for 7 years haha, say hello next time :)
@@NegativeFeedback To be honest i wasn't sure. yeah, would love to !
A beautiful mistake if I must say.
wee
Woo
You sure that first girl is who she says she is? She looks just like Yolanda from Die Antwoord in the first image!
Lovely error if you ask me! :)
I've been getting rid of orphan, forgotten, click bait and empty TH-cam channels. You used to provide some great videos on here. Some of the them have become a zzzfest of late. So either shape up or be shipped out!
