The graphhics in this game still hold up. 2 years ago I went ahead and platted this game. Only negative I have is how Komamura isn't playable and only a boss fight. I bet it's due to how his bankai works.
I think my emulator is doing some heavy lifting in the graphics department but the game definitely still looks good considering it came out in 2011! And yes I think you’re right about Komamura, woulda been nice to have him in the game as well
Yes, absolutely. As someone who 100% completed this game twice; I adore it with all my heart, Halibel is my main, and no other Bleach game will ever be as fun to grind for 8 hours straight.
This game is so much fun despite how simple it is and how long ago it came out. Revisiting it after a long time was great but hearing all the cool memories everyone has made playing it is even better🥲

My only thing with this game was that leveling up your characters at a certain level combo paths become automatic and you either can't make up your own combos or its harder to accomplish. But still worth the buy.
Thats a great idea, if they could add on some crazy content and like you said update things to where we are now in the anime, we’d have a banger bleach game on our hands🔥
about the B ranking, its a devil may cry like game, meaning you basicly need a perma combo meter and need to run from enemy to enemy like your on crack to not loose your combo, you also get more souls with it what is used to upgrade your char and thats actually the brutal part of the game, upgrading your char is very brutal lol
I bought this brand new and still have it. It's awesome, I love using the Espada especially stark, his guns make his even more unique and he flips upside down to attack. And they put Kokuro from the bleach help verse movie and he's fun to use. NEL IS FIRE AND ONE OF MY FAVES. All this was missing was usage of Nel and Chad because he was key to this story and smashed an arrancar

I never played this but it really reminds me of God of War : Blades of Olympus. Its been so many years. I grew up on it and man do I have some fond memories. Great stuff.
I looked up some gameplay of this God Of War game since I haven’t played it before, and they honestly lool very similar! They also came out pretty close to each other. So cool that you can relate through the nostalgia!

That opening intro song for this game is just a generic theme they added to the US version of the game for licensing reasons, the Japanese version used one of the best Bleach opening songs Ranbu no Melody.

I feel Rebirth of Souls should have been this style but even bigger, covering more eras, much bigger roster, and even unplayable bosses like fodder Arrancar and Hollows Rebirth of Souls feels too much like Jump Force, and I don't like the way Jump Force looks or plays... and all the character reveals, I'm not hyped for them sadly, this "Dynasty Warriors" style fits better I feel

The hardest part of making my roster prediction tier list was differentiating between characters that would be available/available at launch as both VS characters and fodder/story/cutscene characters. I really hope it doesn’t end up being another jump force, since we all say how that panned out LMAO. Hopefully Bandai learns from their mistakes there and does better this time around

Yall sound nuts, this was my very first ps3 game and I can fully say it’s barebones asf and repetitive as hell, we do not need another bleach game like this, and rebirth looks absolutely nothing like jump force, it has EX combos and all sorts of fighting game mechanics, just because a game has an arena camera angle doesn’t make it automatically a jump force or storm clone.

Even if the game is barebones, like said its “simple and fun”, and it’s important to remember this is a Bandai Namco title and it came out in 2011, we know how they get when it comes to putting effort and dedication into their anime games. Rebirth is primarily an arena fighter so its pretty much inevitable that if its got some sort of story mode its gonna be your run of the mill arena fighter, Ninja Storm esque story mode or something weve already seen from a Bandai arena fighter before
I think it's a pretty decent game with still room for improvement, but characters get so much better when u upgrade them more, I really Starrk was my favorite to play. It's very similar to Brave Souls just less chibi

I have had my fair share of complaints about arena fighters, but im hoping Rebirth Of Souls turns out to be really good. It seems sort of Tekken adjacent rather than a Naruto Storm type of arena fighters, and I like tekken so im excited😁

@@Whooptywoop the past bleach games I have played at least have casted him yes. The reason for me pointing that out is a lot of games based on popular IPs (not limited to anime) will hire VAs with similar voices instead of spending the money to get the VAs to voice their actual characters in games

The visuals and gameplay is not that bad but it wasn’t that long and at some points it gets repetitive It’s a shame because if they would’ve let you play more parts from the hueco mundo arc or things like that it could’ve been a great game Still liked it when I played it but there just wasn’t enough going on

I played it on the RPCS3 emulator and with upscaling and higher frame rate it felt incredible. Would recommend!

I feel Rebirth of Souls should have been this style but even bigger, covering more eras, much bigger roster, and even unplayable bosses like fodder Arrancar and Hollows
Rebirth of Souls feels too much like Jump Force, and I don't like the way Jump Force looks or plays... and all the character reveals, I'm not hyped for them sadly, this "Dynasty Warriors" style fits better I feel

The hardest part of making my roster prediction tier list was differentiating between characters that would be available/available at launch as both VS characters and fodder/story/cutscene characters. I really hope it doesn’t end up being another jump force, since we all say how that panned out LMAO. Hopefully Bandai learns from their mistakes there and does better this time around

I agree 100%, I hope that aside from the VS gameplay we can have some Soul Resurreccion type gameplay for the story, as like a best of both worlds kind of thing. This game is still so simple but fun after all these years
Yall sound nuts, this was my very first ps3 game and I can fully say it’s barebones asf and repetitive as hell, we do not need another bleach game like this, and rebirth looks absolutely nothing like jump force, it has EX combos and all sorts of fighting game mechanics, just because a game has an arena camera angle doesn’t make it automatically a jump force or storm clone.

Even if the game is barebones, like said its “simple and fun”, and it’s important to remember this is a Bandai Namco title and it came out in 2011, we know how they get when it comes to putting effort and dedication into their anime games. Rebirth is primarily an arena fighter so its pretty much inevitable that if its got some sort of story mode its gonna be your run of the mill arena fighter, Ninja Storm esque story mode or something weve already seen from a Bandai arena fighter before
I think it's a pretty decent game with still room for improvement, but characters get so much better when u upgrade them more, I really Starrk was my favorite to play.
It's very similar to Brave Souls just less chibi

I have had my fair share of complaints about arena fighters, but im hoping Rebirth Of Souls turns out to be really good. It seems sort of Tekken adjacent rather than a Naruto Storm type of arena fighters, and I like tekken so im excited😁

@@Whooptywoop the past bleach games I have played at least have casted him yes. The reason for me pointing that out is a lot of games based on popular IPs (not limited to anime) will hire VAs with similar voices instead of spending the money to get the VAs to voice their actual characters in games

The visuals and gameplay is not that bad but it wasn’t that long and at some points it gets repetitive
It’s a shame because if they would’ve let you play more parts from the hueco mundo arc or things like that it could’ve been a great game
