Video, jet sounds, radio, all real-time. You should be working as a producer for KPIX! Looking forward to next year. Maybe we’ll get lucky and still have the pier.
Great stuff! Cant wait to see this. Do you have any recommendations for good places to film? Appears you have boat access, but wondering if there is a good normie place you can recommend? 😅
I shoot at 1080p 60FPS now. I've shot at 4K before with this camera but it then limits me to 30FPS, and I prefer frames over resolution. It's an old Sony camcorder, readily availabe on Amazon / Best Buy and other stores.
I love aviation, but a lot of these military aviation shows are pricing out average families. You used to be able to go to most of these for free or basic charges for parking etc. Now, because of sponsorships and vendors, you can expect to pay over $200 for a family of 4 just to get in. Sad that the military got on this band wagon of vendors and price gouging.
Hi Ron. All shows on military bases are ironically free to the public whether it's hosted by the Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps. There are plenty of civilian hosted shows that charge for general admission / parking and if you're interested on top of that a chalet but it's up to the attendee once they've gone through the gates as to how much they'd like to spend on concessions, certainly not required. Both military and civilian performers aren't to blame for pricing, it's the organizers (at a civilian show where a GA Fee is required) and vendors alone who decide that.
No "free" big base shows in Colorado for years. It's $200 or more for a family of 4 just for admission, not including what is spent on the inside. The military jets are the big draw on these shows and the sponsors and vendors know that. The organizers charge accordingly to make money now as opposed to what used to be an educational, affordable thrill for the masses. It disappoints me that the military signs up for these money centric shows and their participation allows continual price gouging. The military should motivate these productions, by agreeing to fly in them, to be more affordable. They have more sway out of any performer in the show. Tons of families and kids will never get past the gate. @@_wingflexaviation_

Where was this filmed at? I’m trying to plan this show out lol
I film at Aquatic Park on the water front but the area I'm at is set to close this year for renovations. I may have to improvise going forward.
Nice video. Can't wait to see them this weekend. Saw them up in Seattle about a month ago. What frequency do you listen to the pilots on?
