    I dig the miniature die cast versions by the shifter. What a truly unique hot rod.

    I'm jealous!! My traveler has the standard S5 1098cc 48hp engine in it, although it feels like 20hp! but I love it! Here in England we have many still running and spares are easy to get: just have to watch the quality of reproduction spares though.

    There's been a few mad Minors over here, but that is a beast! Just the right balance of resto and rod.

    Very nice; I have a 1970 Traveller myself, albeit with a 1275cc MG Midget engine & gearbox. No way is that the original speedo though: the 1956 one only went up to 80mph, and 1962-on ones to 90!

    Dude this thing looks like something in a Hannah Barbara cartoon come to real life lol. Gotta say going with a Morris Minor as your base to build on is 1000x more creative than than all the early 30's Ford "hotrod" builds we see. Going with the woodie "Traveall"(sp???) is even more bonkers. Everywhere you look on this car though, its perfectly though out and executed, the fit/finish is just so damn top notch.

    Awesome, just an incredible piece of freaky craftsmanship. I can hardly believe that this vehicle is truly drivable at high speed, above all in curves. I think there is by far too much weight on the front axle, so that overdriving is almost unavoidabe. I would have put this engine between the two axles, say in the middle: the result would be a perfectly balanced hotcar!
    Thanks for this!

      So much parasitic loss. Turbos would push that motor over a thousand horsepower to the wheels easy.

    • @TheMotorman80
      @TheMotorman80 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      With that thing, it’s the look of the big blower. Turbos would make more power but the look and sounds of the blower!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    A 325ci LS motor will make that much power with a stock 200k mile bottom end with just big cam, the heads cleaned up and a set of turbos. New Coyotes will my 700hp with just the turbos.

    This places far to much trust in 50’s-60’s British engineering for my taste

    Alec Issigonis was a designer and innovation leader, just like this Morris owner.
    It's great to see the ideas that people have, and I'm sure that Issigonis would agree 'There are NO rules'.
    A big thumbs up.👍 from South East England.👍
