    Finally somebody... Thank you

    Thanks for posting, I was able to confirm my R22 tank is original, not tampered with. The tank I purchased appears to be real and un-tampered with. Keep up the good videos and have a great day.

    Finally a decent video with actual information. Already guessed the valve is like that ... thinking about how to get some rust proofing inside that thing to use it as a low pressure air tank for tire filling etc. Thanks.

    How do you fill it back up could you make a video showing how you feel it back upand what is your source of putting in air or helium back in it I trying to learn so I could feel it up to use it to fill my air PCP rifle

    • @WaffleStaffel
      @WaffleStaffel ปีที่แล้ว +2

      PCP rifles operate at around 1400psi, this tank would *explode* at a fraction of that pressure. You need scuba grade tanks.

    I'm thinking of doing this for a reserved air tank. if I get a flat I could fill a tire less then 30 seconds. plus it would be handy to have air to help others too.

      Im pretty sure it says its very illegal to transport refilled helium tanks so be careful

    • @imnotbeluga007
      @imnotbeluga007 ปีที่แล้ว

      Air is way heavier than Helium, so there's a higher chance of explosion as the walls are not thick enough.

      @@imnotbeluga007 there's a weak spot where it'll blow for safety to prevent explosion

      @@georgieippolito9924 it's not about excessive pressure. It's about the tank not being designed to withstand the stress of repeated fillings. They didn't waste a penny on giving them the proper specs for that when they were meant to be disposable.

    • @georgieippolito9924
      @georgieippolito9924 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@severewindnoise 3 years later i got 2 of them 1 filled with compressed air at 240psi (260 is stock)
      the other one is liquid butane. 35 psi at 70° which a plastic bottle can easily handle. i use the butane tank for multiple things like torching the new roof at work and hooking up grills, stoves, heaters and a ripped off industrial gas stove flame star thing and a 55 gallon drum makes hot water in 20 minutes of running for camping.
      butane burns clean and can be contained much more easily then propane. there's 1 downside with butane. if its really cold out the liquid gas won't freeze but can go to 0psi. to prevent that and maintain pressure is to put a insulated cover over the tank.
      one more thing i should mention when you reuse those. see those cow udder things on the bottom they call legs? there dents in the metal sheet during production. each time you place the tank down they get a beaten by the ground so they will get thinner and thinner overtime. simply cut racquet balls or tennis balls in half and glue them in place for new shock exorbing legs for your tanks!
      the stock of those tanks are 260psi. most i would do is 240 psi. 1 air filled tank can fill up a car tire. also 1 filled air tank is able to operate a air powered impact wrench to change the tire.

    if you open the valve and not putting the nozzle, does the helium gas still goes out?

    I've found the thread size on the valve outlet is 7/16 UNF. What is the thred size on bottom of the valve which goes directly into bottle slightly bigger. I want to remove this valve entirely and fit a 1/4" bsp manifold.

      @@chaofansha1752 look at some youtube videos of air compressor explosions, then decide if you want to do this. The tank is rated for the pressure, but it's designed for dry gasses, so it's very thin. Any moisture will quickly lead to failure with the force of a stick or two of dynamite.

      What is the working pressure of Balloon Time tanks?
      Balloon Time tanks operate at a working pressure of 260 psi, and are successfully leak-tested at a minimum of 325 psi to ensure quality. In addition, each Balloon Time tank has a patented flow restriction safety device, reducing the flow rate and improving the safety of the product.

      they don't blow up. well the weak point does but it doesn't explode. the weak point is designed to blow to prevent explosion by overfilling. when it blows it just makes a loud pop and hissing sound till the tank is empty.

      I have an 8.9 cu ft (30 balloon) "Balloon Time" tank. Made by Worthington cylinders. It has a 1/4 male flare fitting BUT the tip of the fitting is crimped in four places, to hold a rubber reducer? inside the fitting. I installed an O-ring inside the female fitting, that I screwed on. Without the O-ring it leaked. My full tank had 250 psi (17. bar) at 70F. My full tank didn't contain any liquid when full. If your tank contains liquid Helium, then it's a stronger tank because Helium becomes liquid at room temp. at 367 psi (25 bar).

      My tank (just like the one in the video) has two pressure ratings, PW and PH. I presume PW is pressure, working, and PH is pressure, high, but do your own research. PW is listed as 30 bar, and PH as 45 bar. Over time it would be a good idea to drain the tank of water as compressing the atmosphere, you will gain moisture which will eventually rot out the bottom of the tank
