yeah i figured that out. But after the video was done. Also there are magnets on the legs that allows it to stick to metal surfaces. Very cool design for sure.
Pretty frustrating to Watch.. I found myself wanted to yell the button is on the bottom cause it was so obvious. Just like the pegs used for the holes on the feet. Sorry but this was a hard video to watch
They also report a cold and warm light on their kickstarter (I believe you had the cold light on here based on the colour). Did you manage to activate the other mode ? How would you rate the brightness of the modes ? Could the low be used indoors as an "ambient" light and is the high definitely bright enough to light a backyard? Thanks!
This is one of the best new kind of things ive seen in a long time if price is ok i would defenetly use it. Coming back to the 3 iron hooks and the tripod having 3 whole's 1 per foot i would quess the hooks or for fixating the legs to the ground.
Here it is a year later. Found your video after a long search. I have this light coming in tomorrow from Amazon, sale $69.99. There's absolutely no name for this light shown on Amazon. Year later found it by accident, so I'm not sure how they are advertising. I would like to see a red light mode, but non the less I bought one without it.
@@kevinshackleton5295It doesn’t say review anywhere, it’s an unboxing. He clearly stated “I have no idea how any of this works, there’s no directions and it was sent to me” lol
The product is quickly devolving into vaporware. Delay after delay after delay, and now a falling out with the manufacturing partner has thrown the entire project into disarray. On top of that, in classic Chinese manufacturing style, a complete rip-off cheap copy has already come to market before the actual outask light was even released and sent to KS and Indiegogo investors. It's a mess. The next 4 weeks will be telling.
The RedComets Chinese knockoff is extremely well made, made exactly like the Outask, and the best part is it’s less than $70 and Prime free 2 day delivery on Amazon 🤣🤷♂️
horrible review, know your product bro! i wanted to just grab it from you to figure things out on my own than to watch your struggle. I should have known when you called the stakes hooks!?! 😂
The 'hooks' are actually tent pegs and would be used to anchor the tripod legs.

I was turning crazy to look him try to know where hook thsoes . FOr me its evident its the base hole lol!

None replaceable battery, so likely have to discard in 3 years. That's unfortunate for such a good looking unit.
Goodday sir. The second video you're talking about? Where can I find it? Cobus🐳
Those are not hooks, they are tent stakes to go through the holes in the legs so that the light can not blow over.
This light would be great if it had a replicable battery and bluetooth capabilities so you can control it with your phone.
That is a super light, Greg.
Yeah I really like it

I’m actually looking at doing a second video. Try to answer all your questions there.
I pledged already but I also hope the company grows and offers more unique items as well :)
Me too. This product is really good.
Pretty nice looking system. I like this one.
Me too. One of my favourite pieces of gear that I’ve reviewed over the past while.
How much it would cost to change the led light or can it be change..?
Man if someone could make this but as a camera flash it would be a game changer.

yeah exactly. and if you dont want to use the hooks, each foot has a magnet so it can attach to things that are metal. Very cool.
Watching this does my head in!

This is still one of my favourite lights.
whew to buy ?
statkes are for making it secure on ground while camping
I've never understood TH-cam'ers giving reviews without having a clue of how it works...10:42 mins I'll never get back.
Where does it say review in the title? Oh yeah it doesn’t. This is an unboxing and first look. But thanks for trolling. 👎🏻
@@gregtoope Is that what that was?

If you couldn’t pick up on that almost instantly the only one you have to blame is yourself

Starting to think this product is a scam. It's been 4 months since it's initial release date
dude youve obviously never been camping in your life, otherwise you would know instantly what the "hooks" are for
And has now been copied many times and can be bought for half the price
@ $143.00 no way no how. Way over priced compared to others of this style.
This light is way too expensive for what it is and it’s so close to being perfect 😒
dudes never seen tent stakes before?🤣hangy thing hooks
For the price no thanks
Isn't it just great when you get a 20 minute advertisement on a 10 minute video?
Thanks for nothing youtube.
Haha. Yeah those are awesome.
Next time try to open and try the product before you make a video…
Seeing that this is an unboxing video and not a review video, as are most of our videos. The answer is nope.
@@gregtoope lol … ok good luck . Way to go on the repose etiquette… keep it up .. google helps too

Does the title say review? Nope. It’s a first look and unboxing video. So maybe learn how to read before making a stupid comment like this.
@@gregtoopeLol people really don’t read or listen. Great video!
