@@bwcastillo last week’s show, other than the cold open and Weekend Update was truly devoid of humor. I never saw anything that host was in, she did try to be funny, but that was the worst show in recent memory
@@bwcastillo even though I haven’t watched Judge Judy since 1993 (when cable finally came to my neighborhood) I must agree with you on that. They nailed the style and ‘tone’ perfectly of this type of show. Pretty damn funny

Growing up in the 80s, historically, my favorite Weekend update anchors were Dennis Miller and Norm McDonald. I think I like Colin and Michael's material just as much.
@@sratus I think there's great people in the cast. But I think they took a major hit when they lost Kate McKinnon. Writing has always been hit or miss in the almost 40 years I've been watching. Though I did have less interest the last 2 years. The Adam Driver episode earlier this season was one of the funniest in a long time

I have to admit ~ it took me a while to warm up to Sarah Sherman but I slowly began to appreciate her and her unique sense of quirky/zany/loud sense of humour and presence. She’s brought something COMPLETELY new and refreshing to SNL that can’t be duplicated and when the writers give her something decent to work with (they ABSOLUTELY HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK with this Hall of Fame-quality sketch) I’m in hysterics. Colin Jost was at his best and those 2 have a dynamic that’s so fun to watch. This had better be a recurring sketch!!

At 9:45 when Colin delivers his line you can hear one lady in the crowd scream WAY TOO LOUD and someone near a mic soflty whispered "Jesus Christ" Sarah's reaction to the scream was also pretty funny 😂

Yeah the rest of the episodes are mostly awful as we are going through the worst cast of all time, but Weekend Update is usually pretty solid.
