    What do you do when you are told it is jammed and the motor seems to be resisting manual locking and unlocking? The app won't unlock it at all nor will fingerprint or code. Only having this issue after texas froze over. I replaced batteries twice already. Only started messing with it due to the low battery alert still on after low battery replacement, and now I have this jam issue. Wish I just left the low battery alert there.

    • @jpthsd
      @jpthsd 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you been able to fix the Bolt - jamming issue? :) ...Even Ultraloq U-Tec tech support do not have a clue what to do,, follow this procedure, it will take your U-Bolt out of Bolt jamming issue, the unit remembers or somehow memorized previous lock/unlock position, no matter how well you followed instruction to line up and/or loosen some screws - it would continue reporting bolt jamming (2 beep and the lock notch of the interior unit seems to be locking on something cannot lock right?)
      Since you already has the unit setup/configured with the app, do not access the app while doing this, get ready your admin access code handy
      1 - Remove the batteries, set the lock's bolt onto locked position
      2- Insert the batteries, if you notice, the lock will not retract the bolt in locked position to unlock right? - keep it that way
      3 - Now, while the bolt in locked position and with batteries installed, enter the admin code then press Ultraloq button - did it retract the bolt to unlock position? Yes , then Good!
      4- Now, press the Ultraloq button again, did the bolt move back to locked position!
      5 - Congratulation, Bolt jamming issue is just resolved!
      I found this steps by spending 3hr on my 1st Ultraloq U-Bolt pro I bought on the 15th, no matter how good lineups I got of the installation's mechanic, it kept saying the Bolt-Jamming (to verify it I connected to App BlueTooth and indeed, every time I re-installed the unit and after the admin code setup , it kept reporting Bolt Jamming) until I found the steps above, basically remove the batteries, set the lock locked in position and press admin code again to have the lock learn its travel and lock/unlock position - that fixes the issue!
      I am surprise Ultraloq Tech Support could not give a proper troubleshooting technique to the customers except loose some screw tightness, position straight ..etc - that's not all - !! it is the unit's operational issue needs to be addressed.
      Do not connect BlueTooth nor WiFi to save your batteries! and perhaps minimize intrusion/hack attempt - locks should be staying off the grid!

    The actual included paper manual is TERRIBLE. It explains nothing. Like there is a second plate that seems to go on top of the deadbolt plate in the manual. Totally unneeded for us assembly it appears. Yet - no comment about why or what it is for in the paper manual. Simply not included at all in this vid.

      @@mercy4630 Yes and it looks the strike plate they included has extra wide spacing for the screws and an extra big hole so you can place it pretty crudely and it will still function. And you don't have to worry about where the old screw holes were

      I know this is a year later, but I've run into the same issue and think I've figured it out. That's a different door type in that diagram that gets screws A and B. If you have a door with the hole cutout, you just go straight to the screws C like the video did.

    I purchased this product on their website and it wasn't specific if the product came with the bridge. I ordered both the item plus the wifi bridge. After receiving their product I found out it came with the wifi bridge and proceeded to ask for an RMA to return item. At first they tried to talk me out of returning the item and I explained to them I don't need an extra wifi bridge as it came already with one. It took me 2 weeks going back and forth and finally getting an RMA. I had to pay for the return shipping. I put the RMA outside the box and inside the box also. They did however state for me to give them the tracking number but I didn't read that part and I lost the receipt from the post office. I waited a month for their reply that the received the item. I emailed them and they claim they do not check their return items nor RMA in their warehouse unless they tell the warehouse to open that box and get then process the refund!! WHAT??? They do not check the items nor the RMA number in a list they receive?? What company does that??? SO i can get an RMA and put a brick in that box and I get my refund??? Are you kidding me?? I showed them receipt from my credit card showing payment to post office and now they claim they did not receive the item. They thought it was fishy of me getting an RMA and returning the item on the same day to the post office, really?? This company WILL NOT GET YOU ANY REFUND UNLESS THEY FEEL THAT YOU MADE ALL THE RIGHT PROCESS. I read people having issues with this company after purchasing this item from Amazon and WILL NOT GIVE ANY SUPPORT AT ALL UNLESS YOU BUY IT FROM THEIR WEBSITE. This is a good item if you can get a proper support from them. Emails from the take a day and their feedback next day.

      It doesn't need the bridge because the lock itself has a strong built in wifi system.

    In the App:
    Does anyone know, if the lock creates "logs" Online of the people who - unsuccessfully- try to press their (unauthorised) fingerprint to try open the lock? I mean, will I ever find out,? that some person tried fruitlessly to press finger a bunch of times? Will I see this "event" in the App at all??? Does anybody know?
    At the lock area, itself:
    Does it do some beep if a person puts wrong (unauthenticated) finger several times trying to "get his fingerprint" accepted in order to get lock opened? (I mean a burglar could try that, and if that happens repeatedly, I'd appreciate some sort of beep coming out the lock, so that the burglar flees). Does anyone know, please?
    Thanks!

    • @UtecOfficial
      @UtecOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, about your first question, you will be able to see the failed attempts within the App, with the "Unauthorized user Failed to Unlock" legend.
      For your second question, the lock will light up red and make a beep when it does not recognize the fingerprint or the passcode is entered incorrectly. Hope this can help!

      @@UtecOfficial just wondering: do you think you ll see anything show up in the App if the Hard reset (pin hole on the back) was done?

      @@UtecOfficial thanks again. So if I don't get notified upon hard reset, then how about this: will I - at the very least- *still* be able to log in on the App (after the hard reset happened without my consent) to be able to see that "the lock hasn't been opened/closed" for quite some time? (which would in itself hint at the fact, there must have been a hard reset)
      Or, do you think, that the App simply won't show the lock at all, as in "will the lock disappear from the list on my App" (right after the hard reset)?
      I'm just trying to find something, anything, that would let me "sense" there might have been a hard reset. I know I won't get a push notification. But maybe there's another way, to still know from a distance (without actually having to walk over to that door itself within Bluetooth range).
      This is a security concern, from a property manager's view point. And I'm trying to get a grip on it, somehow, hopefully with your help. I look forward to your reply, Many thanks.

    100% junk, reviews are FAKE. This lock and the company behind it are a huge joke.
    I got the U-Bolt Pro with the built in Wi-Fi the other day and set it up. This lock was replacing a broken Eufy smart lock. The first issue I had was after putting in the batteries, the lock turned on but when I placed the battery cover on it lost power. I swapped batteries and did all kinds of tweaking to get it to finally work with the cover on. Next issue was the connection. I have an WAP right next to it about 5 ft away and the damn thing just won't reliably connect (or the app is simply awful) to the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. When it connected, I could not get the finger print started and I could not set a pin without first setting a finger print. I also could not disable the auto-lock as the app crashed or did not connect to the lock. So I was stuck with a smart lock that could only open with the keys. I fought with this for an hour, then said fuck it and removed it.
    I emailed support and listed out all my issues and asked for a return. They agreed and told me to send it back, but I must pay for return and these assholes didn't even provide a return address, nor is that listed on their website. Since they take about 12hrs to answer an email, I must now wait for them to provide the return address. This company is an armature and sucks at basic customer service. Stay away from this one.
