Focus on being a better YOU today than you were yesterday. That is true motivation of the heart. Approval of others will come. Disapproval of others will come. Those who know and agree with you will follow, and those who do not will disappear. As a creator, I believe this must be your motivation...to become the best YOU that you can be every day of your life. Peace to you!

Thank you, what a great meeting. It made me remember the time when I chatted all evening with a musician friend. It was at the very end of the evening that we realized that he only spoke in musical terms and I in terms of painting and yet we were talking about the same thing .

I've had 16 years lessons from a tai-chi master. For years we practiced the same movements, every week. Sometimes the master showed us his free-style movements and told us; you have to learn the form before you can be free.
Repeating, rehearsing the same movements did learn me how to move freely and intuitive.
It's a rule that applies to all things in life. Like tai-chi is a way of life, slicing tomatos or doing laundry or painting all can be done with attention and a quiet mind.
And moving the body is the best way to quiet the mind and be in the moment.
I had looked forward to meet both of you in galerie Morren but this is video is a good alternative. Very interesting conversation, thank you.

My father was a jazz pianist since he was a young lad. He didn't excel in music exams but he was some kind of genius as a jazz musician. I often went with him to his gigs. Now THAT was intuitive expression.
Zach's piece was so vulnerably beautiful. Excellent video, thank you Titus! 🤗🙏

The Art exist because the life is not enough. For me the Art is a message from my soul and Al is a message from evolution. Congratullations, your work is amazing.

This is an absolute video. The truth inherits this category, so consequently the truth in art is beyond any descriptive means. Thank you, both of you, for sharing your thoughts.

All those doubts, all those questions are what make you the creator you are. Don't lose the willingness to be better but enhance that feeling in your music, which is beautiful. I can feel that intensity in each key stroke... bravo!!!!

Wow, this is amazing. Zach's work is beautiful. My piano coach's main challenge with me has been helping me take the pressure off myself and approach raw rhythm and tonality with the curiosity of a child. 'Letting go' is my most important practice. I learned in the first two years, before I found him that I had this stupid work ethic of pounding away at memorizing pieces for hours a day. When I was painting watercolours I counted the time I spent. This came from being an illustrator used to deadlines.

Thanks for being so transparent with your inner self, Zach. It really helped me to realize how I set my expectations too high & write what I want or need to accomplish in a day. I put so much pressure on myself & it really stifles my creative flow so I can paint freely with the skills I have. I love your music & immediately downloaded it from Apple Music. Titus, thank you for your videos! I love the depth of what you share about yourself & the process as you are creating. It's so refreshing to hear depth conversations. Many conversations seem so surfacy nowadays. I love your paintings! You have both inspired me. Thank you!

Titus, I really enjoyed this episode. I would like to provide a response to the question about the value of AI produced works vs human. I am a software developer. I dabbled in machine learning during the early stages of this field in the late 90s and early 2000s. I am also a hobbyist musician, painter and wood craftsman. A human artist or craftsman must spend time developing and perfecting a skill and then time creating a piece of work. Humans are mortal beings with a limited lifetime. In addition to skill, the real value of a work (though not always reflected in a commercial market) is that a human craftsman must spend part of their limited, unique lifespan to create the work.

Let me add something else. I was listening to Mr. Sprowls music while painting this morning. And, I notice how painters, more and more, musicians want to hear the mechanics of the instrument behind (the brushstrokes). Put humans back in the creative process in the age of AI. I'm glad we're trying not to lose that. Thank you.

Lovely interview with Zach. There is so much that we learn everyday. I can relate with art work and music ( a pianist likewise) and for myself music comes to me at rest, I live in a smaller place now and when you mentioned the burlap, oh my, it reminded me of my youth because we used to further mute the piano also others could sleep. Later on in my life I certainly remember the muting of the sound but I had so much music in my mind as a child and an adult until a seizure took my music away for about 11 years. It wasn’t until last year that songs would come to me again and I had to at least write down what I would further like to resolve. Painting or at least one form of art and music isn’t just a family legacy, it is one of the things that make us as humans completely different in every way and even when older that can be just when we hit our prime. Nice interview and it certainly is not a question of if one can learn it is of when will one do it. Thank you.😊

Very interesting conversation! When you were discussing intuition and creativity, it sounded like inspiration. That is also hard to define. And the feeling you have when you are inspired - how can you put into words? I think many artists think they experience divine inspiration when they are creating. They don’t know how else to explain what is happening to them and how it makes them feel and the amazing results.

I completely agree with you about AI. It cannot create from intuition and feeling. Visual, musical, theatrical, literary arts… they all come out of the human experience. AI will never be able to create. It can only mimic, and mimics are not even interesting let alone threatening.
