  • So after about 6 weeks of not having a laser, ours finally came in. There are a number of things I am extremely disappointed with over the past 6 weeks but I am happy the machine arrived. I feel that matterhacker.com dropped the ball significantly by not taking care of their customer. This really makes me second guess purchasing from them again.

So, I used to work there. I'll give you some insight into why your machine was such a piece of shit. Before that, I'm so sorry you got tied up with them. While I don't regret working there (as I now know what absolutely zero professional ethics looks like) I was seriously ethically conflicted my entire time there. Half the time I felt like a scumbag being told to things I knew were wrong.
    1. Worst place I've ever worked. So dysfunctional.
    2. Owners are married, work in separate buildings, never attend the same meetings, drive to work in different cars and park on opposite ends of the lot. During my 18 months there I never saw them speak to each other. Not once.
    3. The husband owner is an engineer who couldn't give a shit less about anything other than playing with his engineers upstairs. No concern or knowledge about finances whatsoever.
3a. As an example, we had a marketing manager who had 15 years in Google analytics experience. Changed the google ad budget allocations (not total amount) to an insane ROI that had immediate results. About $1 spent we got $3 profit return. Bounce rates plummeted, conversions tripled, sessions lengths were x4. Husband owner says "why are there less total clicks? Change it back. i want more clicks". After being explained why that's obviously a stupid idea he said "as long we show up in the search results it doesn't matter if it's the first page or the 7th page".... yah...
    4. No product testing on literally anything. They'd give us in marketing one prototype machine to use for projects and report breakages for about 2 weeks then start shipping. That's assuming we even got the machine before it started shipping. This is how the Titan was "product tested". So not only was nothing effectively tested, marketing couldn't make marketing material b/c the machines were always broken, and the buyers ended up being QA testers.
    5. Nothing is made in the US as advertised sans custom painted machines. It's all shipped in from China and QC'ed in house.
    6. The owner met his wife when she was an early employee of his. So a real ethical place to start off.
The other owner (the employee now wife) did all of the accounting and was so concerned about pennies going out the front she let entire machine purchases go out the back entirely unoticed. To the tune that, from what I was told "from what we can tell", was at least $100k.
    7. Which leads me to my favorite part. 5 months after I left, ALLEGEDLY, the ops manager Mike, (Fred Jones on FB group), was fired for stealing over $100k. Along with his girlfriend, who was his direct subordinate and the sales manager. This guy would intercept machine purchase orders, reach out the buyer privately posing as the owner and had them PayPal his personal account the cost of the machine. He'd let the machine ship out and his sales manager girlfriend (Brittany) would kill the purchase order. I could go on and on and on.
    8. If I remember correctly, and I could be wrong, but I remember hearing 6 active lawsuits from ex-employees.
So yeah, it's a tightly run ship....

Am I right to say they don't make this one anymore?

No they still make the muse 3D. It’s more of the hobbiest machine. They no longer make the muse 2d from what I can tell

Wish I could agree..... 2 Muse Titans orders both received broken (with different issues) and zero customer service. I would suggest look elsewhere rather than Full Spectrum.
