I wish Pearls or even Effervescent was so strong that the need for slag is no longer mandatory. Especially since the need of Slag was so hated, how they never absolutely cranked up Effervescent Gear after how many years since BL2 stopped receiving content, to the release of FFS blows my mind.
I started doing runs like this on bl3 to make it feel fresh again as well. Start a new lv72 character. Sell the stuff on it so you have nothing then go to tvhm and put it up to mayhem 11. Start the game max level with nothing and play through the whole game. Makes loot feel more valuable especially when you get a good annointment on top of it

I know you just started the playthrough, but a recent overhaul mod called "Plasma" came out that makes it also one playthrough with level cap 60 starting at 1. maybe not next but hopefully in the future because that mod is great! (Also a bunch of other fun things for you to find out)
Kind of a shame about the Cradle, this might be the one situation in which it was faintly, vaguely useful, since it's basically just a Tediore shield with medium-high stats. The only situation in which it's useful would be where you don't really have any other non-green or white shields. In terms of the sound design in BL3, I have to agree. In general, the visual and sound design in BL3 was a really bizarre choice, it felt like they wanted to make it quasi-realistic, which is a terrible idea for Borderlands. Most of the weapons look and sound overwrought and very awkward. Unfortunately it looks like they continued that choice in BL4, but there's still hope. The actual gameplay design of the weapons was much better, at least, so maybe the aesthetics will catch up.
Definitely feel like a slag bladed Rubi would’ve been more balanced to start with rather than a Grog….. then again, I may just like watching K6 suffer 😂
Howzit man great channel been subcribed for year struggling with my level 72 moze have a lot of mayhem 11 weapons but struggling with proving grounds have watched base game moze must be doing something wrong any help would love that.
One thing you can do is hold a weapon with a Railgun damage anointments on it. Summon Iron Bear then jump out. Jump into the Dakka Bear of Iron Bear and with Iron Bear set to Corrosive Sabbot rounds it should wreck while you sit in the back watching. Use Flare class mod or mind sweeper
@@Ki11ersix when you come back to BL2 after a while away you always try to slide, it's even funnier because it has the complete opposite effect than expected (crounching in bl2 makes you move SOOOOOOO SLOOOWWW). also i was surprised seeing you doing melee considering your last try at melee zero (i have the unlisted 1st day saved on my favorites)
I despised BL2 endgame so much! It's so unrewarding, and a struggle that only gets worse the more your go. I much prefer Bl3, and hope to god BL4 is similar in that regard.
Early game BL3 is bad for giving too many, absolutely, but endgame BL3 requires you to really work for your gear. BL2 gives you green and white items at OP10. I'll take a few extra junk legendary items over green and white items from an OP10 Raid boss, thanks.

@@Ki11ersix Has an objectively better story, better antagonist, better playable characters, slightly better movement, slightly better style, better maps, better performance (Sucks to be an unoptimized UE title), more items (no usage of bullshit excuses for removing types and such). I think a mjority of the couple hundred thousands of player will agree that it's a better game (steam & the epic game store reviews validate that, add to that console reviews, and it get crushed). If the story isn't good, it's hard for players to continue getting into the game. I would had rather preferred them building a UE version of this game with BL3 as a DLC instead.
Ok point by point: Story matters ONCE. It doesn't change after that. Once you beat story the main thing is gameplay and endgame. Better Antagonist in 2? 100% Agreed. Better Playable characters? Debatable. The 4 in BL3 can all do endgame content without cheating. Not true of BL2. Better movement? Hell nah. BL2's movement is so slow and clunky compared to 3. That's not even close. Better style? That's your preference and that's fine. I disagree though. BL2 LOOKS like it came out a decade ago. Better maps? That's CRAZY talk. The Dust, Eridium Blight, Heroes pass, Tundra Express, Three Horns, all decent but so empty mostly. BL3's maps are much better in pretty much every way, with more to do on each. Better performance? Yeah, BL2 performs better in general, but both games struggle mostly on old gen consoles. More items? BL2 has a ton of items, and rarities, I agree. But how many are USABLE at endgame? Meanwhile MOST of BL3's Legendary loot can actually be used at endgame. No Blue mission rewards outperforming all the Legendary items in 3 (Pimpernel and Sand Hawk) Steam reviews slammed BL3 for 6 months straight because it was an Epic games exclusive. Which was stupid as hell. Steam reviews will also slam games for having gay characters, so... Want an interesting stat? More players by percentage have beat the story of BL3 than have 2.

I have more fun with the variety of items, i like how there are more characters, and all can be played differently (and i usually do, and i don't stop at a tree). Story doesn't matter only once to me, since i like the story & the characters behind it, the iconic events & voicelines. I personally got tired of BL3 stories at the 3rd area, with a short bump at Atlas, but then i just died of cringe until i completed the story. I which point i played a bit more, then stopped playing. Only recently i uninstalled the game to make space for another. BL2 is still installed. > both games struggle mostly on old gen consoles. Water is wet, consoles are almost always going to struggle compared to the modular systems that are PCs.
