Mary and Chase are the early pioneers of Pine Lake. She might have the best spot. If all residents are as pleasant as Mary, it will be a awesome community!
All the residents I’ve spoken with so far have been great! I’m so excited for everyone to move onto the property, get situated in their new surroundings and the community to flourish. So neat to hear about our residents already watching each others dogs and going out shopping together :)
I realize that now. I’m very blessed I live in a section 8 apartment in Fairbanks, Alaska and I realize I’m never going to move because I’m happy right where I am. I used to dream about and I still fantasize about having a tiny home but in reality, this is all I could afford.
I think we all should strive to be content and happy with where we live and the items we own. There are so many in our world that don't even have a roof over their head or a bed to sleep in. I lived in Section 8 for a few years after my divorce and looking back I realize how much I loved the place and my neighbors. Once our basic needs are met, I think working on ourselves and giving back to others with our time, energy or money is really important.
Nice of Mary to open up her home and let us peek in. Good Luck in the new community. Hans sometimes you talk too much, but you will get better at this after you do a few more tours. Ask homeowner questions & let them talk!!
Stay tuned for part 2, the Q&A. The video was getting too long which is why it became 2 parts, but details are Important for those getting ready to move into their new homes. A lot of these details and glossed over often times, but I understand your perspective. Appreciate your feedback 👍
Hans I am happy you have someone who can help us with things like painting, landscaping etc.. I have my list ready for when my home arrives! I want the inside and outside painted, and some landscaping put it as well as a small deck. Also want some things hung inside the cottage. So happy to hear you have someone ready! :)
Yes we have a variety of vendors, contractors and people we’ve been working with and in discussion with about this upcoming work. We’ll have it more organized once more homes arrive and multiple jobs can get lined up in a row. 👍
Dear Mary thank you 🙏 for your tour of your home it was so nice of you to invite all us utubers to tour it you are awesome and you have done and amazing job on your 🏡
For Mary, congrats on your new home, so exciting to see the community coming together!!! Mary, consider extending the short part of your deck the full length of your house, if not around the back as well, so you have more room to grow 8nto the space, and so you have more outdoor area. And do they get bugs? Mosquitos? Consider making it all a screen porch? My grandma's place had a screen porch entry, really made for a comfortable 8ndoor/outdoor home for all seasons. So 3xcited to see how the roof pitch goes, and so excited to see this community come together!!!
Also, as landscaping goes in, consider hostas... And verigated hostas... And hostas with varieties of leaf sizes/heights... They would pair nicely with the natural vibe, and are easy to care for... And Wil stand the test of time for decades... And tall, heritage azaleas, and rhododendrons.... Factoring the full mature growth size of rhododendrons when they mature at age 80...they are about 10 to 14 feet wide... But are evergreen and gorgeous... And can be landscaped with short and tall varieties. Looks also like blueberries might do well there too... Enjoy the process, can't wait to see the lake with homes in place... So exciting
Thank you both! Please tell Mary thank you so much for her ideas. I have a small home and have not decorated yet, but I need to do it with utilizing space, and she has started me on the roll. Because I really don't want to drill holes in my walls!
I’m so happy for you Mary, thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us. Your views and outdoor space are beautiful as well. Enjoy this new chapter of your life. God Bless 🤗🥰🙏🏻
Thanks Hans for the video and thanks Mary for sharing your home with us. You have everything and then some, a person would need. You have a lovely home. Have a beautiful blessed night. 🙏
Maybe do two separate videos -one all about this site as the developer. And give Ms Mary her own video about her and her tiny home and what she loves about tiny living. I hope there will be someone to help Mary finish out her home. The guy building these should be finishing them out. The exposed screws and metal corner trim is shameful on builders part. jmo.
That's what kept the price down. He sells them made out of wood also. Also have new panels now that don't have screws but that will cost you more than this. All getting fancier and fancier as time goes on.
That’s what we tried to cover in this video; on part 2 (going up soon!) we go over lots of questions asked by members of the Facebook group “tiny home sweet home alabama” to Mary
Honestly looks like a shed purchased from Home Depot. Appears incomplete and poorly made. I have seen other tiny homes better constructed and move in ready without needing to hire independent contractors to complete the home.
Hans, please let us know if you will ever accept any tiny homes from other tiny home manufacturers. I’d love a tiny home but would never purchase from ITH’s for personal reasons. Your community is looking fantastic, great job!

Too far from the doors. $10k shoul offer more space and a parking by the door. A barking dog and my $10k will be lost because I woll have to move. $300 a lot is too high for the space. Too sad because it has the potential to be a very nice community....blessings!
Looks really pretty. Well-done! Once they get "skirted" they will all look so adorable. Her dog is so cute. That's so wonderful he will have his own outdoor safe space to hang out, what a fun life she's creating for her and her pup. I love her bed area so cozy. If I had a friend over I'd want to just go for a walk around the property then hang outside. Congrats to all of you! Not living above your means is so freeing once you get thru the layers of downsizing.
Is she able to put a shed in her backyard? Would she be able to put up a cute little picket fence to keep her puppy safe? Would she be able to close in her deck to give her a little more living space? Are you going to provide a covered car park for them? Or would it be possible to put a carport near their home?

@@gotinybefree just a suggestion to Mary, can she extend the toilet where the window is located to about three feet ,she can put the washing machine there and also a long cupboard for the brooms etc ,just how she add the small portion to the front as a porch where the chair was located in this video, that size j am talking about for the extension ,nice home
Thanks, Mary, for opening your heart and home for us to visit you and see how you live in your tiny! I'm impressed at how easily you have managed to fit so much in your space! And you still have room for more storage in the vertical space in your kitchen, above your toilet tank, and on the wall behind your TV❣️ Very smart to use a multifunctional microwave/oven/air fryer, and your combo W/D is one of the nicest I've seen! I also love your tall pantry tucked behind the front door. Very smart! Enjoy settling in and finishing your tiny home❣️
Thank you for sharing your home. I do wonder how people in tiny houses make their beds. I like your dog bed so close to your bed. Also I love your blouse, very nice on you. Take care
I've actually made my bed everyday since I've been here. Probably more times than in the last year lol. You just decide how much you want the front to drop and hop up and start smoothing over.
I can tell you it’s much more difficult to make a bed in a tiny home loft lol. But like anything, you get used to it and into a rhythm and forget about it
I like the way you set the this home higher, love the deck as well. Excellent positioning with the bay window, wonderful to see the surge protector as well Using the cement blocking, you have done it right!
Randy @ ITH doesn't watch his own comments for his community, he's not going to read them on some other persons community. If you heard Hans he has NADA to do with the builds of the tiny homes, have suggestions issues contact builder. On the 10.00 lowes lights he uses, he's got to put something there though if not people would complain no light in the kitchen. If he chooses a different light then there will always be someone who doesn't like that light. So he goes cheap, savings passed onto you & you can change it out to your liking. (His same thinking process on the no appliances) He used to have appliances, too many issues I imagine...of everyone wanting something else.
Yes these phase 1 forest lots there in the northeast corner were naturally a little higher than most of the property but we brought in additional dirt to raise them still a little bit higher. Great views from multiple windows from these lots. And the trees above and all around… I wish I could better convey the beauty of this property… I’ll keep trying! ;) Thanks for your comments!
The video, it's an Equator, I have one that looks exactly like that under the Deco name. Mine can be set to use a vent to outside or it can be used without a vent to the outside. I bought mine through Home Depot.
Cute curtains..i love curtains I ve been using for years in my old house ..i love the romance & function....plus saves room from a door...Mary could put a curtain for " bedroom too.....🦋
Easy enough to buy skinny tall shelves, I did this in my place years ago. It's also easy & cheap to build, Google it... how to. I bet if you offered 3 homecooked steaks dinners with all the sides & 3 cheesecakes to a neighbor they'd consider labor-materials paid in full!❤😊
Rather than me trying to retype out an entire website, I suggest visiting gotinycottages.com. The full development plan, key money details, amenities and much more is all listed out there in detail. But if you after reviewing you have additional questions, feel free to email me 👍
ITH are wonderful. I am waiting for my RJO to be ready to move to the lake. I am so excited!! I pray it does not take forever, I am ready to go! I am ready for my life in Alabama and at the Cottages at Pine Lake!
I don't think that's the case why those homes are butt to butt close. Maybe it's a family or friends? Number one, it's not appealing at all 😮😢 Two, to spend that kind of Key money to look so close at your neighbors face? Not a good selling point...😮 Three, deck or no deck - one does not have privacy at all being so close you can rub elbows?😢 But Hans can you address, are they going to be that close? If by some chance you say yes, then a tall fence would have to be installed, yet still too cramped. Will the homes be that close!???😢😮😮
Hans a suggestion....let the residents talk, If there camera shy, just ask a question & wait for there reply. You can upsale your place AFTER the residents tours.
@@bijoux-hw9dh And beyond excellent details he gives, especially love his repeated words of PRICING & DETAILS on the screen, VERY HELPFUL, his drone shots & much much better & consistent than others... Not knocking ANYTHING, it's always been assuming when you can't hear one's tone of voice. Keep it up Hans❤
I see your perspective; I should have clarified at the beginning that this tour was more for future residents for what to expect when you move onto the property in your new ITH home, things they may not know. Most tiny home tours on TH-cam are perhaps more for entertainment and just to show off how a home looks, maybe we can do one of those kind also in the future with mary once her deck is finished and she’s more settled in and just let her talk all about her home without me trying to explain every part of the home and how it works. Hope that clarifies a little better!
I think once Mary has pondered and gotten all the work done on the porch, her tiny house is going to look amazing!!!! She is set up to clean and cook. Maybe have a divider of some sort between the LR and the bedroom. Was thinking a solid wood shelf that is pretty high where she can put books and plants. Believe it or not, alot of people keep their hanging clothes in the bathroom. Might give you more space to have the bed turned around. Easier to make the bed and puppy can still have a spot at one of the other windows. Check out for a small loveseat. I cant stop myself from decorating all the time. sorry. best.
I think I missed it, but what size is the RJO home? And is that a queen bed? I'm trying to figure out what size home to get and trying to get a visual of how things will look inside.
Hi Hans and Mary. Thank you for the tour. It was an excellent tour and very informative. Love the RJO ITH. Like how Mary has customized it so far. Wish you the best in your new home.

I ve been using for years in my old house ..i love the romance & function....plus saves room from a door...Mary could put a curtain for " bedroom too.....🦋
Where did you get the cabinet behind the door.
Mary said it came with the home, built by ITH.
Yes came with the home
Home cost, then $15k key money: paying for land to not own it. Plus rent $300mo. Great job, Mary! Nice home, the deck will be wonderful!
The lots in Phase 1, Mary and her neighbors, only paid $10K and get $300 per month lot rent in exchange, about half what nearby communities charge.
Looking good!!!
😀
Thank you Mary for sharing your home. Question where did you get your spice cabinet by the door? 👍🦋🌻🐶
Ith, it came with my model.
It is a nice cabinet and great use of that space!
They are very very Beautiful❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
What is key money? And what service's are provided in monthly lot fee?
Rather than me trying to retype out an entire website, I suggest visiting gotinycottages.com. The full development plan, key money details, amenities and much more is all listed out there in detail. But if you after reviewing you have additional questions, feel free to email me 👍
Mary I love your deck! What size is this tiny home?
8x20
ITH are wonderful. I am waiting for my RJO to be ready to move to the lake. I am so excited!! I pray it does not take forever, I am ready to go! I am ready for my life in Alabama and at the Cottages at Pine Lake!
What does RJO mean ? 🤔
It's the Model name of this home, and stands for Randy Jones Original. They come in 8x16, 8x20 like Mary's, and 8x24.
We are excited for you also!
How big are these places that is something that has not been talked about.
8x16 to 10x30 so far!
Would an ITH Birmingham fit on lots at the Cottages 🏡 at Pine 🌲 Lake?
I believe Hans has said he has 5 lake lots that can accommodate one. Contact him directly and he can tell you more. Better hurry😊
Yes like Mary said, we have 5 lots in phase 2 on the lake that would fit a Birmingham. 2 lots in phase 1 that also would work
The two homes too the left is too close together!! I wouldn’t like that at all
Look at their other tiny home village, you can see into the neighbor's window, from your window. Crammed together, sadly.
He's putting them close together, like at the beach in ITH around the lake. Lake lots are more expensive & that's why they are so close there.
I don't think that's the case why those homes are butt to butt close. Maybe it's a family or friends?
Number one, it's not appealing at all 😮😢
Two, to spend that kind of Key money to look so close at your neighbors face? Not a good selling point...😮
Three, deck or no deck - one does not have privacy at all being so close you can rub elbows?😢
But Hans can you address, are they going to be that close?
If by some chance you say yes, then a tall fence would have to be installed, yet still too cramped.
Will the homes be that close!???😢😮😮
@@BetterDays_Nowthis community doesn't belong to Incredible Tiny Homes.
Hans a suggestion....let the residents talk, If there camera shy, just ask a question & wait for there reply.
You can upsale your place AFTER the residents tours.
He was giving us specs, details. Thank you Hans! 👏🏾👏🏾

And beyond excellent details he gives, especially love his repeated words of PRICING & DETAILS on the screen, VERY HELPFUL, his drone shots & much much better & consistent than others...
Cool rechargeable refresher! Congrats on your tiny home. How exciting! Looks like a nice place too also, Pine Lake.
👍👍👍
I can’t recall if that was a single or full sized bed…
ITH sells different length RJOs; Mary’s RJO is 20ft.
@@gotinybefree Thank you!
Thanks for the tour. Lovely area
Glad you enjoyed it!
How much is your lot rent?
$300/mo
@@gotinybefree thats reasonable. .no doubt
@@gotinybefree thank you , sorry for delay in response ..
Hi Hans and Mary. Thank you for the tour. It was an excellent tour and very informative. Love the RJO ITH. Like how Mary has customized it so far. Wish you the best in your new home.
Appreciate your feedback, thanks!
