What I love about the guy singing bass is that he makes it look so effortless. Breath support? Enunciation? Nope, no worries. He's just having a good time!

Barbershop basses are like NBA centers. There are guys who play center but aren't really built for it, and there are guys who are the size of a center but don't know how to use it, but then there the guys that make you say, "Now that's a CENTER."
jesusthroughmary - That’s actually a very good analogy! Didn’t even think of that but it’s very true. They sort of set the pace for the rest of the team to head in (I’m biased because I’m a bass myself haha)
Would jokic and Embiid make good barbershop basses that’s the real question
I'm having a wonderful time down here listening to these boys sing this song.
My only gripe is that on Fred’s part they don’t show his face, other than that it was a Wonderful performance as expected, I’ve listened to it about 5 times in the past 2 days alone
Yes Indeed! *YES INDEED!* These guys don't fool around, haha i were sitting here with a huge smile on my face, the man singing bass is simply a champ!
The man singing bass teaches choral directing at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and has a doctorate in composition and theory from Washington University. I studied with him in 2010 when I got my BME degree. Such a great experience.

I was really hoping for a bass slide on the final tag. Still one of the best versions of this song though.
Listening to the end of their song: Rock My Soul. Dr Henry does a little bass slide. Enough to fill my bass singing appetite, least 🙂
