Ugandans enjoy bumper harvests, hence the market is overwhelmed. Unless they find regional and international markets, the farmers are very frustrated with low returns. That's why one may mistake Ugandans to be lazy.
Pineapples are one such fruit that has unlimited market regionally and internationally due to its quality and taste. And the acreage has been increasing year on year. The pineapple farmers aren't sleeping as such. Maize on the other hand has unstable prices, as Kenya sometimes bans imports. Price drops are very back breaking. As a Ugandan farmer, we are not lazy I would say.

Funny that. All the prosperous farmers are literally Ugandan. This video makes it seem that Ugandans are sleeping and not farming. If that were the case, why is Uganda now a net food exporter to Kenya and East Africa as a whole? We welcome her. But this idea that Ugandans don't farm is absolute rubbish.

Keep cool no one talked about other Ugandans there will always be some mad person in the market the idea was to showcase how we can share knowledge and replicate across Africa which is what we should pick from this story and nothing more.
