    Nice video. I have also collected many recorders and microphones. I like all of them, never getting rid of them. If anyone ask why so many, i just say this is what i like to collect and its my hobby.

      @@wpkambiancesounds cheers mate. Yeah that’s a good point. I’m sure I’ll end up with more to be honest - I keep eyeing up a Zoom H2N cause I’ve never played around with one.

      @@wpkambiancesounds it does seem a good recorder - and I’ve just seen about an hour ago there’s a Zoom H2Essential (newer version with 32-bit) so I think I’ll just bide my time haha

    The A10 mic pre amps are actually excellent if you use external mics its very quiet. I use a set of LOM MikroUsi with it on a simple hat RIG and it makes the best ultra stealthy compact binaural type setup, I just toss it in my pocket and monitor the levels on the phone via the app and no one will know your recording. Ive done this many times it works great.

      @@vidworxsfx oh I totally agree. With my clippys the results are also sensational.

      @@EQAVOX Yes the A10 is a great little recorder while i also have an older M10. I love the ultra compact A10 using it with the app and LOM or Clippy is a win.

    Hello, my name is Ryan and I'm a recorder-a-holic. ;o)) Get help mate. We're here for you if you need to chat about it. Had to laugh, as you said just about every recorder was "one of my favourites". Ha ha. Sadly I know what you mean though. I just have a H1n, H1e, H6 and a F3, but errrrrrrrrr ..... those Tascams look good, as do several of the old Sony's as an every day carry, even though my H1e is my new every day carry. Those F6's and Sound Devices are pretty sweet too.

      shame the lsp 2 is quite tricky to find, I'll have to keep an eye out for one:)

      @@glhf1 cheers mate. I think I paid like 60 pound for that on reverb a while back and it’s pretty decent - I wanted something cheap that I can be a bit reckless with ahah. The LS-P5 is great though too, with improved functionality over the 2 and mics etc.
      To be honest, if I was just looking for a small, affordable pocket recorder - I’d probably opt for the Zoom H1 Essential. For the price, it’s totally worth it. Currently there’s no other 32-bit recorder option that is this small with inbuilt microphones (that I know of) for under 100 pounds. It’s a bit of a steal really. The build quality isn’t sensational, but the sound and ease of use more than make up for that I think.

      @@EQAVOX i think i actually saw the reverb ad that's still up and 'sold' for that one lol:) thank you for the recommendation, I'll have a look at that for sure:). I was sort of thinking along similar lines of durability and like the metal casing of the lsp2 especailly, and the R05 looks decently built. The search continues:) thanks again

      @EQAVOX  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@DavidBondeDanmark that’s a tricky one David I won’t lie haha. I may end up downsizing a bit one day and I know for a fact I’d likely keep the tascam x6. If I could only have one - it would probably be that one. It’s a really good all rounder to be honest.

    • @EQAVOX
      @EQAVOX  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@DavidBondeDanmark as for why - built in mics are greater quality - it’s 32-bit, but you aren’t limited to just 32-bit, there’s 2 XLR ports with phantom power, a 3.5mm jack with plugin power and tons more to it. It’s great as a stand alone unit, but also with plenty of options for exploring other external mics with it. Definitely not a 1 trick pony. It also has very low self noise and good quality preamps.

      @@EQAVOX Thanks! Appreciate it. I am looking to buying a new recorder after I have been playing around with my zoom f2 with a clippy mic. for some years.
      And as for now it's between the h1e, h2e or the x6.
      I want onboard microphones and maybe the mic + preamps combo is just that bit better on the x6 that thats what will be the deciding factor.
      I also want to get a stereopair of the clippies with my recorder to buy. And the plugs change from between the h1e / h2e and the x6. So first buying the zoom recorders and then upgrading later and then also having to get new clippies is not a fun thought.
      On the other hand the h1e is so damn cheap now that I can get both the recorder, the clippies and wind protection for the price of the x6. And the little form facter of the zoom recorders is appealing.
      Ohh those choices. They are purely mine to made.

      @@EQAVOX I fund some recordings of the x8 compared to the sony pcm d100 of exactly the kind of recordings I want to make. And the difference is stereo representation was quite big in favor of the x8. I know it´s not x6 and the sony is not h1e but if x6 is just a smaller x8 this does it for me.
      I was surprised how much better the x8 was over the sony. Damn.

      @ the D100 is a great recorder. I’ve not had the opportunity to use one, but I’ve read sensational things about it. I’ve no doubt it was great for its time, and probably still is if you can get your hands on one. But, I do also wonder if there’s just an element of hype with that recorder too. I’m not knocking it - but I think it may well have been blown out of proportion.
