#MarriedLife #NoKids #Explained
People should also understand that just because you have kids doesn't guarantee that those kids will take care of you when you're older. You might also end up having a disabled child that you end up having to care for your whole life. The risk and expense of having a kid just isn't worth it.
Truth.
👍 exactly
🎯
Not only disabled children. How many old parents are out there with grown children, and no one wants to even take them for a simple dinner regardless of how well/bad these parents raised them. Parents should have children if they want them and can afford them without the expectation they will get something in return.
Or with the addiction problem in this country, the parents are still sending people their age to rehab.
Homer Simpson explains it well enough.
“Aw. I have three kids and no money. Why can’t I have no kids and three money?”
😂😂😂😂
Love that!
He's got a point.
It’s like when Forrest Gump occasionally says something that’s very deep and meaningful
😂
decided from a young age that I never wanted kids, despite older family members saying i would eventually change my mind, im in my mid 30s now and still kid free. It would be wrong of me to bring a kid into this world when I know from an early age that I would not be able to give it all that it needs while still feeling like i can live my life. having kids is a personal choice NOT a moral imperative.
AMEN!
Yes! We are more than a uterus! Zero desire here at 43.😊
Are we twins? Lol

I'm 52 and happy as a clam with no kids! Never a second of regret. I see friends my age with grandkids and all I think is "no thank you."
Not everyone should have children.
Nor want to raise them. Can't blame them.
And then there's the other side who should have kids because they're well-educated and well-mannered, but don't because of the economy
Exactly
Especially people who do not want to. A child can tell when they are unwanted.
Especially selfish people!
I was judged when I wasn’t married by 25, I was judged when i was married with no kids, judged when I only had one kid, and now I’m judged for having three kids. Live your life and do what you want! I love having kids but it’s not for everyone and that’s ok!
You can't satisfy everyone, mehhhnn its literally mentally draining 😮💨 friends, family who ever it is you just can't! I came to that conclusion a few years ago and learned it the hard way.
You gonna be judged regardless of what you do in your life. Live your life the way you see fit. With the money in your bank account.
Good advice 👍🏽
They call you selfish because they are JEALOUS. Jealous people are so toxic. Avoid them. They will do nothing but try to drag you down to their level.
Exactly. What's selfish is bringing someone into this terrible world just so you can be their burden when you're old. I will never understand that.
@@charmedlilsis1well you will be a burden to someone when your old, just not your kid 😂
@@JonnyiceyLike many parents in nursing homes with barely any visitor.

My wife retired at 40. I'll be done by 50. Life is awesome. If you dont want kids, don't have them!
My wife and I retired in our early 30s and have kids. Lol what’s your point? We do whatever we want. With our kids.
@@Mapledubz
Likely that it’s typically easier to retire early if you don’t have kids. 😎
@@Mapledubz ya doctors don't retire that early.. How old r u now?
I understand and agree with their lifestyle. My wife and I had two daughters shortly after we finished college. The cost of childcare is enormous! The fact that they can focus on their marriage, become stable and enjoy their life is great! After all, that's a great plan, in my opinion.
Why do I feel like starting line for these two was much further ahead than it is for most?
Well, they did bother to work for a college degree, for a start. I say, more power to them!
And that’s important because?
@@annastasiadobbins5585 We all have the same starting line Madame. We all have the same 24hrs in the same day to turn that time into whatever we want. Make no mistake every Bill Gates every Jeff Bezos EVERY older billionaire on the planet would trade every dollar to be young again bc we are not disadvantaged & we all have time that is of greater value than money.
leave them alone. they have the right to enjoy life as they feel fit
So happy to see someone who gets it
I agree! There is nothing in life that says that we are obligated to get married and have children.
I just wish it was a different couple they used an example.
This lifestyle is not always a choice. My husband and I would love to have children. 🙏🏾
Exactly
Having kids was the single best decision for me and my husband. That being said, my life is not YOUR life. Make your own decisions and be happy! ❤
Being a parent isn't for everyone!
Having kids is great, glad to see a positive comment on parenthood for a change rather than all the reasons not to have kids, most of which are materialistic.

My friend never had kids or got married and retired before his parents did. His parents marriage ended in a divorce last year too. He claimed his reason was to lower his overall carbon footprint. When we were younger I would make fun of him, now in retrospect I think he was the wise one.
My wife & me have no kids. And our sister & husband do not want kids either.
Wait, "our sister"?
Surely an error
She is my sister in law. But I call her my sister.
i'm a SINK making 140K and I won't say I am ahead of the curve, I couldn't imagine doing it with a child.
Ahhhh finally a comment of someone just living their life with no “Johnnyicey” present
Is this a thing that actually still needs explaining? Some people would rather be financially responsible and stable. Like it or not, these
are the people that are making society run. They are paying for schools that they don't use. They are paying for the free lunch programs they don't use.
They are paying for the welfare state that they don't use. People with kids should thank them for giving away their money for society's use.
You’re welcome! 😂
Yes, and also like it or not, this trend is going to cause a population crash that will have consequences that will not be completely positive, as Japan is discovering.
@@twlowe19oh well 🤷🏻♀️
@@twlowe19consequences like what?
@@theintrovertedaspie9095 seriously? Ask me that when you are 70 and there isn't adequate health care staffing to help care for you, and you wont be relying on family. You might also not have any of the social services that exist today because the working generation that provides the tax base for that is simply inadequate.
Not everyone deserves kids, or should have any. Trust me, my ex was a social worker, horrible stories, how children are treated by some adults.
I bet…so sad 😢
What they’re doing is actually smart! And be perfectly honest that’s kind of how it should be! Enjoy your life with your partner and then if you want to add an extra member to the family, then you can go in that route! Because when you have kids, it gets more complicated and it gets a lot more expensive!
My wife and I have no kids. We enjoy our Cabin Cruser and vacation home. That is just our choice on how we live our lives.
Stop asking people when they are going to have children, do they want to have children! Mind your own business!

Omg is that why the neighbors in fairly odd parents are Dinklebergs!
I am a SINK (Single Income No Kids) and I am keeping it that for all my eternity.
I was raised in poverty. Why would I have kids just to put them through that?
if you have an economy that makes it impossible to have kids, what did you think would happen? Both parents are working, paying the bills and neither have time to raise a child. This country reaps what it sows.
This is NOT a new term. This term and concept have been in existence at least as long as my husband and I have been married, and that’s 30 years. Stop claiming this as something this generation came up with. And as far people choosing not to have kids, that’s a personal choice and no one’s business. Quit judging.
Smart couple, grow, mature, travel , and have lots of fun then decide if you want or not family. Wise mentality ❤
At the end she says - Mind your business, on a news story where you literally got all up in that couples’ business.
That’s the point. Ever heard of the “moral of a story?” Some ppl need to see how ppl who make those choices feel when being pressured by others and that their assumptions that ppl are selfish or whatever they assume, aren’t true. Also that ppl are genuinely happy with their choices. I believe the story captured all of that beautifully.
though I have 3 kids, but not everyone should have children. Enjoy your life.
Life is short.
I would love to have kids but life has been hard in the past years and financial stability is challenging to achieve nowadays. When people have kids they should be for the right reasons and not only just so there is someone to take care of you when you are old.
Kids are over rated
I think the title of this video and the thumbnail already explains it all....
Lost me at "self employed influencer".. barf
Smart couple.
well in the grand scheme of things kids grow fast. so waiting isnt a big deal BUT that said, once you have kids consider your relationship to have dropped an anchor slowing you down and dragging you to a halt, because having kids means obtaining stability as they grow and inevitably take on things like schooling. and that means your extended plans are now tied to their needs. and you got at least about 25 years of that. Lastly is the bond between the two. are you truly in it for the longhaul cause if your not then having kids will only mess up their lives as they grow up in a broken marital situation. And lets face it. most people couldnt live with a clone of themselves let alone someone they claim to love. because the biggest error in all relationships is not understanding what love is. Its commitment not a feeling. feelings come and go. so if your relationship is based on feeling then far and few have gone the duration based on feelings alone. Love is duty and obligation and sacrifice. soooo if you dont have those factors in your relationship then, dont.. just dont ruin the life of kids that youd bring into the world.
That would make me a SINK: Single Income No Kids.
Nice Stressless Lifestyle
It just depends on on maybe the career field you’re in too. I work in hospitality and it’s quite common to have coworkers married with no kids or unmarried and no kids
Having kids is risky because divorce laws are bad
I think having one or two is worth it but not too many. However, to each their own ❤
Honestly good some people really shouldn’t be parents
I am just wondering… The average age of people is still increasing, but most of the people get retired at around 65. If today’s generation can live to 80 ,that means they just consume the resources for fifteen years ,with having no contribution to the society. At that time , will there be enough people to work to ensure the economic?
How can we solve the problem of the aging population?
The old...you're never going tonhave someone to take care of you when your old. Thats trash 🗑 bringing a little baby in this world is not supposed to himder on them being servitude towards you in your old age. Ive done it for all my family members, i was the youngest. Its alot to do to a someone.
The term is from the 80s. It’s related to Yuppies. It’s all good. They have the right to live as they like.
NBC clickbait game is showing signs of improvement
Even Some celebs that been had money just having first child in mid-30s. Live your life n do what makes u happy in your own time.
I’m a SINK.
me too! 😂
As a single bachelor I see no point in being married or cohabitating if you’re not going to have kids. You might have a double household income but your expenses probably exploded my guy. You’d have less income but way less spending and stress also if its just you by yourself
If you get married, make sure you are getting married for the right reasons. I was married from 2004-2010 my divorce was finalized in 2011. If my failed marriage taught me anything, it was this; having children and buying home is a part of being married, but that's not the only reason why one should get married. I beleive that marriage is ultimately about finding a life long partner that can enhance the quality of your life.

Well raising a kid is a huge responsiblity, emotionally and financially so kinda understand where these couples are coming from, however if this trend continues eventually the economy will suffer because of lack of working age population to support older generations
