Sweet pfp bro
>triphop artist >absolute gold >no other albums by artist
The 00s were such a cruel time
i grew up in arizona for 18 years, and i confirm this plays on loop the whole time
Same can confirm as well every time you step outside this is all you hear
2nded
Is it always that colour?
If there are any NBA fans here, there is actually a really fun little piece of trivia about this album. It turns out that LeBron James absolutely loves synthwave music. In 2013 after his Heat team beat the Spurs in the finals, LeBron blasted this album in the locker-room during the celebration. His teammates were pissed off and tried playing their own music, but Bron would not relent. This music is what they had to celebrate to.
lmao
I'm pretty gullible anyway so I choose to believe this
for the record im actually from maryland
Maryland sucks
Aright a local boy
@@METALFACEDOOMXXXXyeah kinda
@@ID-HxJDe i know it does
That's okay. I won't hold it against you!
Had listened to this since 04/05 since I never downloaded it to a comp
Good to be back
for the record, i DID NOT have any part in the creation or official release of this album. the artist is joseph jakob, and he actually is from arizona lol
llol its lovely
As a Utahn and a small piece of Arizona's annoying mormon cousin, this sounds the same as the south desert does in my head, straight fire
Fuck Arizona
I've never been to Arizona, but the other day I was randomly daydreaming of retiring there, in the desert with a view of the mountains... anyway, sweet album.
it's really HOT, like melting hot, retiring there isn't recommended, 650 people died from the heat last year in just 1 county... the deserts are deadly, if you can't afford air conditioning and the repair costs that go with that then I would head elsewhere
@@realplonk If you can't afford air conditioning you're not retiring, but you might be retired
Dude there's like a ton of old people retired here and all they play is golf

This feels like the soundtrack to building a massive early 2000's Lego Set in your living room.
anybody got movies with a vibe similar to this? paris texas is the first one that comes to mind for me
Obsessed with this album...
Arizona local here classic tunes here. Reminds me of the time when Arizona was a southwestern paradise.
Bro, i just zoned outta this world watering bamboo listening to this....fire🔥
Really starting to appreciate this album after a few listens. I visited Arizona last year and some of these tracks take me back there. Driving through the desert with those huge mesas in the background was like being on a different planet.
Gorgeous album...just wonderful..
I love early 2000s ambient albums, what an exquisite find, thank you❤
Loving the calm ambient and organic sounds, gonna play this next time I hike Echo Canyon lol
Lil' hidden gem, thanks for the sharing, beautiful trip !
I have had this album on loop for hours a day for a few days, just spectacular. Great album.
From Arizona, cannot believe I haven't heard this sooner
This Album is AMAZING! Thanks a lot for this, just awesome 👍🏼😎
riding the train thru arizona was always fun
Cool. Cover brings to mind Amber by Autechre
agreed. thats kind of what brought the album out to me initially, i love both covers
Early morning summer type of music.
This appeared on my feed and now I will always tie this album to the morning that me and my closest love have parted ways...I don't want to be stuck in the past, but only thing I can do is imagine a better future, and currently I can't hlp myself from seing her in that future. It's stupid I know...
Anyway thank you 💗
i dont think its stupid at all, fella. music is very powerful (as trite as it may be to say at this point lol). it's a record of who we are and who we once were at any given time. not just for the listener, but for the artist too; ive heard that most of the time, a musician can't recall exactly what spurred the creation of a song, but they can remember just how they felt at that moment in time. some times in life, you feel something youve never felt before and have never felt since, and i dont find it unlikely that a song or an album can trigger an emotion similar to or exactly that of the emotions felt in the past.
beautiful
Never heard this before, but it's a gem.
All hail the algorithm
Ayy as an Arizona native I love this shit
This record is dank, listened to it like 6 times already
dude i love it
What a gem.
Fantastic album!

Reminds me somehow of Boards of Canada. Really cool album.
Boards of Arizona
Floor boards
holy cow how this album has been forgotten for more than 20 years ?
gold!
awesome
Nice mix
Hey, that's a really good album. s2
Cibola's intro/backing and rhythm remind me of some of the theme music from the film Evolution, which happens to take place (and was actually filmed at) Glen Canyon, Arizona. Just thought it was a cool coincidence 🤔
A Really nice album.
Discoveries like this are what the internet is made for

It is Downtempo. This variation adds more to the abstractness.

I’m from Maryland …. If you’re still making music let’s collab .!!!!
clicked cause i like album covers with desert mountains n shit on em (ala inlet by hum/amber bty autechre), will see if i like. be backs oon
Clicked cause I listened to Amber the other day and wondered if the algorithm was dopey and suggested similar music by album art instead of by musical content. But yeah it checks out
Silent Hill and Fallout vibes
