Thanks darrin Another amazing watch Much appreciated- merry Christmas and a happy new year my friend- you're amazing, I was smiling all the way through this festive send!! Take care Wayne (Stevenage, ). You know the one 😂😂
Thanks chap. I’m in bed sick and have been all Christmas so to see a bit of someone else’s Christmas is fabulous. Thanks for this episode. I hope your Christmas was good and have a happy new year…
Me too, I haven’t spoken to another human since Monday as I was feeling really cruddy. Not going to lie, I was a bit surprised that none of my family phoned, I have 9 siblings and parents, and I sent all my nephews and nieces £50 each (there’s loads of them!)…! At least some of the other scout leaders (I love being a scout leader, I’ve been there for a couple of decades) messaged me on Christmas Day, so I’m changing my will…! And… I’ve gone off chess, you have to think too hard.
We went to a French Christmas market actually on Christmas Day, in Honfleur! Hubby Steve and I are van lifers for the last year and a bit, but spent the week over Christmas in France, our first trip across the water in the MH, and it was amazing, loved every minute, the country, the food, the people, can’t wait to go back. We stayed in several places, some wild park ups and a couple of aires, so very much easier to do over them than UK. We missed UK Christmas markets, just didn’t get time and unfortunately they are generally not as good as one on the continent, York looked great though, having lived in Germany for 9 years we were rather spoiled lol! Keep up the great work, we love your videos, you make us laugh so much, followed you for some time and learned so much. Congratulations on your book, it’s amazing, I was reading it on the ferry! Wish you all the best for 2025, take care. Sue and Steve
Loved seeing York Christmas markets. Looks like a nice one to visit. Last December we did a tour of France, Belgium and Germany. Strasbourg, Colmar and Bruges markets were really nice. I'd like to go to Ghent next year, I believe the markets there are good. 🎄
Hi Daz, Loved reading your book, a great read with lots of info. Lovely video of the York Christmas market, another one to add to where to go 😊Wow, what a range of food you were able to try 😋Hope you also had a great Christmas, looking forward to 2025, Happy New Years to you😉
Merry Christmas, York Christmas Market looked good the food looked lush, we have indeed over indulged....it's Christmas it's mandatory 😂 We went to Edinburgh and Winchester Christmas Markets this year, Winchester is our old local market and our favourite, we had Churros at Winchester my favourite, also had a nice smoked sausage and sautéed potato smash up with melted cheese on top....that was good. Happy New Year Daz xx
I've never wanted to say anything as it negative, but, from what we see he really is unhealthy and it will catch up with him. He's young enough to change it though, hopefully he does
@@brumsgrub8633 I really don't want to be that guy, the troll, but having seen exactly what T2 does to people, it can be devastating. My dad lost toes and had all sorts of health conditions relating to diabetes. No hate from me, and as you say, he is young enough to completely turn it around.

Super video. York looks great at Christmas. Hope you had a great festive period. New year resolution- yeh to use the van more in 2025. Good lady had a bad accident this year so had to put many things on hold. And to just enjoy things, chill out.
Happy New Year Darren, I am a someone who likes to handwash dishes, no dishwasher for me thanks. My resolutions are to travel more and do a no buy year which for me means, no new extras and only replacing old/broken/worn out with new as needed and reducing my plastic use. What will yours be? Best wishes from 🇮🇪💚
Another great video Daz, the rucksack look great, I think we’ll be ordering a couple. As you said York is a great place to visit any time only problem, too many tourists, oh yer I’m a tourist too. As for Christmas markets, we visited Brugge at the beginning of of December to be honest I was disappointed, Cologne (a couple of years back) was far superior, after viewing Kara and Nate’s recent trip, there’s a few there that we’re doing next, along with the Kramer’s run in Salzburg. Keep up the good work, see you around.
Great video mate love it great places to stop and the food looked fantastic good for you sir .. “I’m gonna need 2 hands for this” 😂 that’s what he said 😜😂😂
Daz you missed most of the market, the shambles are streets behind the markets with nice shops and loads of pop up food stalls. I loved York it took hours to get round it. You didn't really see it all and you missed the ghost shop but great video daz
Hope you had a good Christmas mate. I love the Christmas Markets - I’ve just come back from northern France visiting in-laws. I thoroughly recommend visiting the Christmas Market in Arras, France. Loads of different foods - it was on the national TV this year….
Had a great christmas thanks mate, yeah they are great fun to go to, Arras has been mentioned to me a few times, I definitely need to get over there next year, i'm missing out for sure. Have a wicked new year mate
Fantastic video. Loved watching you go round the Xmas market so I don't have to! 🤣 I would say forget the fish tank. Keeping the temperature right, you'd need air-con on and the weight of the water if you get something reasonably large. But you probably know this and that your diesel bill has gone up no-end as you've probably slotted something everything into every nook and cranny! 🤣
G'day Daz, Hope you had a merry Christmas mate, The York market looked like a great place to be. As for my opinion........NO to the dishwasher. Got one at home, never use it anymore. PRO = it washes the dishes for you. Have a great New Years Daz, look forward to the next video.
Merry christmas mate, hope you're having a good one. Haha yeah I get that, I think its gonna be a marmite appliance, you'll either love it or hate it, worth a test though after all this is a bachelor's pad! 😂😂😂
Just checked that horizon carpark app you mentioned in another video. Cheers mate, fantastic got parking on a Premier inn 7pm till next day 12pm for £3 saves me searching for a safe place to park in a area i dont know, top man!!

Love your channel. How much was it to stay at that campsite? And where is open this time of year? I lived in a mobile home for 7 years. But was rent free on building sites. I want to buy something small like a Toyoto Alphard for around 15k but worry about cost of park ups. And how places like supermarkets would feel if I paid Horizon on a monthly basis. By time I book in at camp sites for 30 a night.I mightt as well rent a flat? I don't need to travel about. Simply live in the Colchester, Essex area. Hope you can help?
Hi mate, I think that site was just under £25 a night for me which isn't too bad on the odd occasion, 9/10 I'm wild camping all over the country here there and everywhere for free or almost free with small car park costs. Every area is different for parkups and you just need to get out there and see what you can find and then use sites here and there. Hope this helps mate
@TheUrbanMotorhome Thanks for the message. I am guessing people let you stay at places for free. As you are a nice guy and can help their business? Thanks again for your help. But would be nice to know what a smaller van would be like with diesel or propex heating in the winter. I can't imagine I'd get away with pitching up at a supermarket night after night. Even if I paid Horizon parking 60 pounds a month. Me rolling out of bed on Sunday morning is going to put people off. Parking down country lanes seems difficult as locals will phone the police. And campsites are too expensive unless you can get a non powered pitch on the cheap. 15k on a decent van is a lot of money to risk? Seems a nice life, but more difficult in reality? I know a 24 hour gym I can shower at. Hopefully a farmer in the area will message me, round Colchester in Essex. Have me on his land as lookout. I previously held an SIA security license. I think you are now doing his van thing as a hobby/job? Rather than living the reality of day to day life/hassles?

Happy Christmas to you, unfortunately we also chose to go to York to see the Christmas Market . The market is very poor, and living off it’s past reputation. We were extremely disappointed. Try going to Beverley instead , no market but a lovely little town. We also stayed at the same campsite and used the park and ride to get into York . The campsite is poorly situated and the road into it is very dangerous for people walking.
Ahhh sorry to hear that Mike, yeah this was my first time here so I didn't have anything to compare it to, ahhh I didn't think about the park and ride, next time I'll look into that, have a great new year mate.
@TheUrbanMotorhome yes Darren I have a van up the A19 at Easingwold went to drain it down for the winter, so we caught the park and ride just for the day but very disappointed
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you 😊 Great video as always. Keep on doing what you're doing and ignore the heehaws (idiots!) that hate on you. They're not worth the headspace 😡

I wasn’t being rude mate I replied exactly the same as your comment, people see 15/30 mins of my entire week and give me grief like I’m the only one doing something “bad”, if I’d asked for health advice then fair game but 🤣🤷🏻♂️

Fair play, but tests so far are looking pretty sweet
It’s the latest thing doing the sponsorships, rob and lynn a couple of weeks ago! It looks very tiny, pretty though
I bought it myself on Black Friday, not a sponsorship at all
How Cool does that look?
Not very 🤣🤣🤣

Yeah I know what you mean brian, I was hoping for a lot more stalls with trinkets to buy but there really wasn't that many
@TheUrbanMotorhome yes Darren I have a van up the A19 at Easingwold went to drain it down for the winter, so we caught the park and ride just for the day but very disappointed

@@s73veyI think his response was more polite then you deserve but silly us - we should realise that only you’re allowed to be ‘rude’!! Got it!!
