I used to ride. People are dumb, but every motorcycle training course says you are responsible for your own safety and you should never assume people see you. These riders make me genuinely upset because half the time they are causing the problems. That being said drivers should give more space to riders and understand they have to make quick maneuvers to help keep themselves safe. Double your following distance of motorcycles. Keep it cool and everyone lives.

You park close and just outside of the vehicle you’re following when riding.
Reason #1 To avoid being rear ended. Drivers are more likely to see the car you’re parked behind than the bike you’re on.
Reason #2 If you are rear ended you want to get pushed to the side and not sandwiched between the two vehicles.

At 7:30 minutes in I think the driver mean when he said "slow down" was "slow down so when I cross into your lane and hit you head on you'll get less hurt".

1) to avoid being rear ended. The driver approaching you is more likely to see the vehicle in front of you than the bike you’re on.
2) If you are rear ended you want to be pushed along side the vehicle you’re behind rather than sandwiched in the middle.
The guy in the car is a complete idiot and the proof is on his face.

As a new rider myself, the only two pieces of advice I can give is just be aware of other drivers, I’m from the uk and I’ve seen some things and I’ve only been riding a month also make sure you have cameras front and back. Oh and have fun lol, lookin good in your pic (In a non-creepy, non simp kinda way 🤣).

The older lady in the blue mid size SUV that pulled out in front of you. This rider needs to get in his car/pick-up and go drive that exact same spot and the exact same time of the day, then he’ll learn that he was invisible. DUDE, she was looking into the Sun and you were invisible. See, she didn’t really do anything wrong, she literally didn’t see you. Take this in to consideration when chastising the elderly, because taunting her wasn’t cool.

Up here in the mountains, there are lots of little stretches of roads with series of close little curves. You COULD try to stay in your lane the whole way, and it'll wear out your shocks with regular travel in less than a year, not to mention nearly beating you to death in the car... Literally EVERYBODY "straightens the curves" through those areas, INCLUDING POLICE vehicles...
Meeting someone with half their vehicle in my lane going the opposite direction is a regular (daily) occurrence on these roads. If I freaked out every time it happened, I'd only give myself a brain hemorrhage or a heart condition. You just learn to look out for it, and how to negotiate around them... It's really not a big deal if you're not riding/driving like an idiot. ;o)

I'm only pointing out that "freaking out" has no place on a moving motorcycle...
I have a choice where most people "straighten the curves" up here... Negotiate carefully, or pick between slamming into a rocky cliff on one side or flying right off into empty space on the other... AND the two-way road through those curves measures ACTUALLY about a lane and a half... only "soft" (gravel and mud) shoulder on ONE side (toward the rocks)... Guard-rails are often either missing all together or BRAND new, for all the people who drive/ride right through them.
Lots of our roads are posted "45 mph"... BUT if you do that, you're probably going to die on a blind curve... so we learn to take our time.
AND if you have a nice wide road, what ARE you complaining about? There's lots of room to get around a bonehead driver, so just relax and go around the idiot.
It doesn't have to be a big deal at all. Dodge, Cuss, Motor on... ;o)
