I’ve had this exact watch for two years …. Full of 1970’s retro goodness … super comfortable on a 7” wrist and surprisingly accurate for a movement which gets slated …. The strap is perfect so never felt the need to change and the indices glow in such a lovely manner….. perfect summer / holiday watch which always makes me smile 😊
Nice presentation. I got this watch about two years ago. When trying it on I had a silly grin on my face and I knew this is it. If I had to choose, it still is my favourite watch. Enjoy yours!
So, I have the Orange Oceanographer. I bought several weeks ago. Man, it is one of my new favorites -- for sure. It is either loved or hated, in my opinion. I love it. Based on everything I looked at and read ahead of time, I wasn't sure if I'd get a hacking movement or not. I was very pleasantly surprised to get a hacking movement. Thanks for your review. It was one that helped me pull the trigger on this purchase. I can honestly say I do not have any other watches like this one. LOVE IT!
Picked up a amzwatch's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
Great review I also approve of the use of the words " I like" which is a subjective opinion rather than "is better" which would be an objective fact, and could easily be disputed on a number of grounds .
It is my cup of coffee 🙄 I was convinced I wanted this orange, but I got the green one in my hands few weeks ago aaand now its a tough call… cool video, man
Have you ever looked into Protek watches? They’re T100 tritium, so the 1/2 life on the glow viles is about 12 years. I have the titanium “field master”. It glows orange at the 12, green at 3, 6, and 9 and the rest are blue. The hands glow green and blue. Beautiful at night for $500.
100% agree, I just got the gmt full lu et version and absolutely love it! Now considering the orange version you got, gorgeous retro vibe. Great review 👏👏👏 cheers 🍻🌞
I've been looking at a few orange dial dive/holiday watches, the Helm Komodo and the Nivada Grenchen. I thought I'd made my mind up to go with the Helm (in 2 years time 😐), but this review has made me pause. The Helm comes on a bracelet with the additional rubber strap costing £20 extra, which might be the tipping point. This is a beautiful watch though.
I own the black & red variant and simply love it! I change the strap between rubber and NATO straps often. I appreciate the fact it is simply a Bulova dive watch.
I think a lot of the fun of a cheaper watch comes from the fact that you can enjoy the watch and leave it on the wrist even when doing “rough” activities. This adds to the charm of the watch. Unfortunately expensive watches are nice, but most of us are not wealthy enough to be able to wear them care free for any activity. Definitely have more fun with my beater watches.
I like the retro vibe to this Bulova...very nice. My current favorite daily driver (hasn't come off my wrist since January '24) is the Seestern S435 (~US$200: Blue dial/ceramic bezel, 316L S.S.). Some might say that it's an accurate homage to the Glashutte SeaQ. I would suggest it's more of a homage to the (late 1960's) Le Forban Securite Mer.
I got this watch about 2 years ago and have loved it. In the past year the orange on the bezel has faded to a light peachy pink color. I sent it to Bulova and they would not do anything about it. They would have replaced the case for more than I originally paid for the watch. No more Bulova for me.
I’m not into high polish and bright colors. Yet, this one is very appealing. That watch face is pretty awesome. I’ve been wearing my bronze Glycine Combat Sub nonstop for several months now. It is hands down my favorite.
Great watch, I have been saving for a guilty pleasure and with all the great offerings from the likes of Zelos, Phoibos, Island watch, Spinnaker, Lorier, and a number of other great microbrands, not to mention, more mainstream brands, like Seiko, Orient, Citizen, Tissot, Hamilton, Glycene etc., all with great offerings in that price range, you can easily forget about the Devil Diver. Thank you for exposing this in my radar. I will most definitely consider this next month when i pull the trigger on something. The only problem I will have is whether I should get a great new watch for my collection, or an Ortofon Blue?
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the amzwatch, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from amzwatch I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
Just got my Green Devil Diver. This is by far the most accurate watch in my collection ie. Oris, Seiko and Hamilton. Got mine from Jomashop for $369.00, Very Nice, love the steel bracelet and dial!
I like Bulova, I have Seikos and Omega but I feel just like you do about this watch with my Certina DS super PH500M and PH200M that I own. I just subscribed but didn't notice any content on Certina a Swiss dive watch with an amazing history.
This video inspired me to buy this, and it's amazing absolutely love this watch. It's quality and the colour is incredible, like a lava orange, 🧡 fiery devil diver
i think orange is the nr 1 dive colour i got the same watch and i love it ... if you hold it in you hand and you feel it and you see the little cristal yem things on the dail you understand it !! great watch..
My collection consists of about 125 watches and includes brands such as Rolex, Tag Heuer, Omega, Hublot, Panerai, AP, Casio G Shock and Seiko. As much as I love wearing my Rolex's, Panerai's and other highend watches, I am always drawn to wear my Gshocks more often. I have also started making some of my own watches from parts I source on the web
19mm strap is the deal breaker for me. Anything under 20mm is too dainty for me. The watch ends up looking like a salt potato on a string on my wrist. As a brand, I dig Bulova, but I still haven’t found the right one. Oh yeah - very well done with the video.
I'd been stalking these one for years. Finally, I pulled the trigger when the price went down to 370 USD. It's been two months now, and it can't leave my wrist. I really love it, despite the fact that mine is non-hacking and the rotor is a bit too loud for my taste ;)
I love that you love it. I wasn’t interested buying one as soon as I saw the dial (no offense at all, orange is just very loud for me). I watched all the way through simply because it’s refreshing to see someone truly happy with and passionate about a watch rather than the name on a watch.
I’ve done something similar with reviews I’ve made on my instagram page. One of my jobs is teaching and managing a swim lesson program. So I’m in a pool a lot. So I have been giving my opinions of the different dive watches I have, after actually wearing them in water for extended periods of time.
It just seems like another overpriced watch to me. A $500 dollar watch with a glorified Miyota 8215 movement seems crazy to me. I'd expect at least a Miyota 9015/39 for that price. But hey, Rolex and Seiko are even more overpriced, so good on Bulova for not being as bad as them. And I mean, if you can easily afford it, then the price doesn't really matter. All that matters is that you enjoy it. Edit: good video nonetheless
It’s great when you wear a watch and just find yourself just looking at it for no reason whatsoever but just to look at it. I know when I do that it’s a keeper. Love the dial and cushion case and the 666 feet text. Thanks for a great review.
I'm with you all the way. I've had one for a couple of years now and I just love it. I have a lot of much posher stuff but on a bright day this is the boy. No one cares or notices what watch you're wearing..... unless it's this!
Awsome video I need to get 2 watches form bulova I like the devil in green and the lunar pilot I will b super happy throwing those two on my collection
Nice piece, you should like Doxa Sub 200 / Sub 300. Although it's not the same price range, since Bulova is sort of not distributed in France I got a Doxa.
@CheapWatchMan I just liked and subscribed! Great video! Wanted to know if you have seen the Bulova Marine Star Diver Watch that comes with the Precision 262 Khz Quartz movement? I think a comparison between the two would be awesome!
Hey man…I have the Devil Diver in green with the steel strap…I really like the rubber strap though…do you possibly have a link for the strap you have? Thanks man
IMO regarding the price of watches ("there are"some lower-priced watches, that are equally/ better looking than some costing 5x, 10x etc. more). As an ex-audiophile/ fool, I found the same applies to various lower priced Stereo Equipment.
I subscribed off the back of this great review. As it happens I like functional dive watches of this style and really don't like this watch. 😂 That said, I am looking forward to more of your takes.
I just found out that orange ,the color, is the wrong color spectrum in the dark. Hum? Seems elementary. They Look fantastic in Comercial and in clear pool water.
I have a real SUB but I also bought one of these replicas from amzwatch for piece of mind if I go to another country or if I am doing activities that can damage the watch. I don't see anything wrong with that.
It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. amzwatch watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?
Love ( #CindySelection) the way you show it! You really focus on showing off the bag. I don't think any other TH-camr can show off bags in as much detail as you.
wait wait wait..... aren't you the cheap audio man? you are covering audio and watches as well.... my two favourite topics by the same guy!!!! my man!!
I love Bulova, they make some awesome watches... unfortunately, they make a massive pile of hot garbage as well, they should scrap 80% of their catalog.
Bulova fanboy here. I love Bulova watches and hope to put this beautiful watch in my collection in the future.
I’ve had this exact watch for two years …. Full of 1970’s retro goodness … super comfortable on a 7” wrist and surprisingly accurate for a movement which gets slated …. When I was thinking about going orange, the luminox Pacific diver was the one that caught my eye. The Bulova is nice too.
Tritium dials are awesome. I prefer Marathon styling but luminox looks brighter.
I really enjoy your videos and style. Bulova is my first foray into automatic watches and the hobby. Thanks!

Like your review and glad I found your channel. “I’ll be BACK!”
Picked up a amzwatch's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
Watched this video and subscribed. Love your honesty, unapologetic non BS approach and the hints of humour. Good edition too. Cheers from Spain!
Great review I also approve of the use of the words " I like" which is a subjective opinion rather than "is better" which would be an objective fact, and could easily be disputed on a number of grounds .
Fantastic review! I’ve seen a few of these on TH-cam, a great looking watch and that orange dial is gorgeous!
I have the black & red one. Really enjoy it. I got mine at a local Indian Reservation for $355.00 on sale NO TAX!
It is my cup of coffee 🙄 I was convinced I wanted this orange, but I got the green one in my hands few weeks ago aaand now its a tough call… cool video, man
I bought this watch a few years ago (It is now 6/3/2024)) for 350 Dollars! Beauty of a watch!
I have the blue version devil diver with steel bracelet. Love it!!! great review

I like the watch I got from amzwatch. That rubber strap combo looks really cool! Been wearing it since last year and love every minute of it.
Love that little watch roll. I am going to make one.

Unfortunately expensive watches are nice, but most of us are not wealthy enough to be able to wear them care free for any activity. Definitely have more fun with my beater watches.
I like that case shape. It reminds me of another watch called the Herodia Series 1.
Outstanding video.I have to go with the MAMACOO, especially with that green dial as my favorite
I like the retro vibe to this Bulova...very nice. My current favorite daily driver (hasn't come off my wrist since January '24) is the Seestern S435 (~US$200: Blue dial/ceramic bezel, 316L S.S.). Have the gold Oceanographer gmt and it’s a badass watch. A banger for sure.
I got this watch about 2 years ago and have loved it. In the past year the orange on the bezel has faded to a light peachy pink color. I sent it to Bulova and they would not do anything about it. They would have replaced the case for more than I originally paid for the watch. No more Bulova for me.

The devil diver always steals the show. I have one and it gets a lot of wrist time.
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the amzwatch, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
I’ve always loved this watch but the thickness has always scared me. I guess I just need to try one on. Would love a thinner 38mm.
It always amazes me how much beauty and precision are added to the parts of amzwatch's watch 99% of people will never see.
I like Bulova, I have Seikos and Omega but I feel just like you do about this watch with my Certina DS super PH500M and PH200M that I own. I just subscribed but didn't notice any content on Certina a Swiss dive watch with an amazing history.

I own 2 Rolexes, 3 Omegas, and an IWC but my favourite GADA is a $250 Paulson pearl diver Titanium beater.
Great video. Love them orange dials!
If I'm ever going to go orange, I'm going all out and get the Doxa Sub300T Professional.
19mm strap is the deal breaker for me. Anything under 20mm is too dainty for me. The watch ends up looking like a salt potato on a string on my wrist. As a brand, I dig Bulova, but I still haven’t found the right one. Oh yeah - very well done with the video.
Absolutely. Well said.
96B159 (the old one with the accutron logo) is one of my favorite’s. 42mm case, 22mm lugs but lug to lug is manageable at 49mm.
It most definitely has to be in Orange👍👍👍
I have the green variant on bracelet, it is a great watch. Very unique and cool.
I own this watch... superb in any conditions 👍
I'd been stalking these one for years. Finally, I pulled the trigger when the price went down to 370 USD. It's been two months now, and it can't leave my wrist. I really love it, despite the fact that mine is non-hacking and the rotor is a bit too loud for my taste ;)

I have never been disappointed since I became a customer of amzwatch. Their watches are of exceptional quality.
Same here, i even love the tinny 70’s bracelet!
Agreed! Have and love this watch - one of my favs of my too large collection. Thanks for the review!
...and I found a 19mm beads of rice bracelet from I think strapsco(?) that looks great on it.
Ever since I bought a watch from MaMaCoo , My question is if it's this hard to tell them apart, what is the point of owning an authentic watch?
I’ve done something similar with reviews I’ve made on my instagram page. One of my jobs is teaching and managing a swim lesson program. So I’m in a pool a lot. So I have been giving my opinions of the different dive watches I have, after actually wearing them in water for extended periods of time.
Beautiful timepiece with great history.
That the way I feel about my Momentum Sea Quartz 30 - I just keep wearing it in preference to all my others! Maybe check one out if you get chance ;-)
It just seems like another overpriced watch to me. A $500 dollar watch with a glorified Miyota 8215 movement seems crazy to me. I'd expect at least a Miyota 9015/39 for that price. You should never pay full retail for a Bulova. There are all over the place for around 350usd
@@crossbones8956doesn't bulova own miyota?
@@bosco266 no, Citizen Group owns Bulova, Myota and a bunch of others.
It’s a phenomenal vacation watch
When people are saying #amzwatch is a better option for buying a watch,I very much agree!
I have never been disappointed since I became a customer of amzwatch. Their watches are of exceptional quality.
Very nice watch and love the orange. Not sure about the quality of Bulova applied logo, that really let’s the side down
It’s great when you wear a watch and just find yourself just looking at it for no reason whatsoever but just to look at it. I know when I do that it’s a keeper. Love the dial and cushion case and the 666 feet text. Thanks for a great review.
the black on the hands doesn't seem to make sense......you would normally see "ghost hands" matching the dial color
Love it. On my list. May look good on a mesh strap. Thanks for sharing and showing the family fun in the pool. Take care brother.
Mesh sounds awesome on that watch
I honestly thought
It was the seiko 5 with the orange dial....uniquely cool
I Love my $100 Seiko for the same reasons you love this one.
I'm with you all the way. I've had one for a couple of years now and I just love it. I have a lot of much posher stuff but on a bright day this is the boy.
No one cares or notices what watch you're wearing..... unless it's this!
It's kinda sad that he doesn't respond to his subscribers. Alot of you have great questions and input.
Got one, awesome watch 👍
Awsome video I need to get 2 watches form bulova I like the devil in green and the lunar pilot I will b super happy throwing those two on my collection

I'm actually wearing my orange dial Orient Ray Raven II watching this. I like this Bulova.
@CheapWatchMan I just liked and subscribed! Great video! Wanted to know if you have seen the Bulova Marine Star Diver Watch that comes with the Precision 262 Khz Quartz movement? I think a comparison between the two would be awesome!
Great INTRO!!!
Did i miss the peach lume shot?
Hey man…I have the Devil Diver in green with the steel strap…I really like the rubber strap though…do you possibly have a link for the strap you have? Thanks man
Great review. I may well buy one. Lovely colour. Bulova always had cool designs from years ago
The new movement with hacking function is the Miyota 8204. You got confused and said 821D. No harm done brother...😁👍
Love my devil diver def one mine

if they make an orange dial gmt, i'd buy that up so fast.
Looks like a fun watch.
I love bulova. The Devil Diver is sick AF!
It always amazes me how much beauty and precision are added to the parts of MaMaCoo 's watch 99% of people will never see.
I prefer a Seiko or even the $50 Casio Dive watch....but I now use a $10 Casio to the beach or pool....
Was anyone else bothered by the bezel not being aligned with 12 o'clock for a few of those shots?
I have the gmt version and it also became my daily.
I had to force myself to give my omega seamaster wrist time 😅
I subscribed off the back of this great review. As it happens I like functional dive watches of this style and really don't like this watch. 😂 That said, I am looking forward to more of your takes.
Just got one for $270 at a Citizen outlet. Terrific watch.
I just found out that orange ,the color, is the wrong color spectrum in the dark. Hum? Seems elementary. They Look fantastic in Comercial and in clear pool water.
Keep up the great work man!
I have a real SUB but I also bought one of these replicas from amzwatch for piece of mind if I go to another country or if I am doing activities that can damage the watch. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I like the watch I got from amzwatch. That rubber strap combo looks really cool! Been wearing it since last year and love every minute of it.
Luxury watch man?
Exactly! He needs to change the name of his channel!
Love ( #CindySelection) the way you show it! You really focus on showing off the bag. I don't think any other TH-camr can show off bags in as much detail as you.
