Excellent video Sir. I'm an older gent and firmly believe that a "partner" needs to compliment your life and not become the only focus of it. A healthy balance is needed between a social life with friends, your relationship with a partner AND personal alone time. It's a balancing act to be sure but very doable.😊
I met my partner via a dating app, we both didn’t have the intention to start a romantic relationship, but we ended up falling in love and have been together for 5 years. I think what made it work is that we both were in a good place and had 0 expectations of the other person. Turned out that we were/are attracted to each other both mentally and physically. He is the kindest soul and I am very grateful that we met 😊.

I’m newly single from a 7 year relationship and I really don’t enjoy meeting people via dating apps either. Time to work on ourselves ey!
I have such a complicated view of dating apps, I really did not enjoy them, I say them but I was only on one, I cannot tell you the amount of times I deleted it, but I met my husband and I cannot tell you how lucky I am to have met him, greatest love of my life. I agree on the marriage front, too many people get married on a whim and for the wrong reasons, it's why so many people don't actually work on their marriage and use divorce as the first option. This is not intended as a dig at women, (being one myself) but I can't help seeing it as a red flag when a woman cares more about her wedding dress than the vows, some brides make the entire day about themselves whereby their husband is an afterthought! My wedding dress cost £290 and I got it for £170 in the sale lol! My vows and promises were the most important thing to me. You'll find someone and if you do use dating apps just pace yourself, don't go on like 20 dates within a week, I have no idea how people have the mental energy for that, talk more before meeting, both over the phone and via text that's my advice.
If you have to sacrifice all your hobbies, free time, and friendship after you get married then something is wrong. I have a friend who is happily married and he still makes time to hang out and stuff. On the other hand all the cousins I was friends with basically said screw you when they got married and I haven't seen or heard from them in years. I agree that the online dating is not natural or healthy. I think this applies to all social media and any kind of relationship.

Resonate with a lot of what you said. I think sometimes you just have to leap before you look with a lot of this stuff, especially while we're still young. With marriage you can only hope that you find someone that you love so much that all of the doubts you expressed are afterthoughts. Just don't be stagnant. They say everything you've ever wanted is sitting on the other side of fear. Worst case scenario you make a bad decision or you get hurt and you just keep it pushing.
