  • Getting the disc hooked up to the Ford 961 Powermaster and discing the sweet corn field. It's early to be discing the field but since there was so much material mowed down at the end of last year i wanted to get it mixed in early.

F951 propane here and I love it
Yep it’s that time but so dry in West Texas there’s no point now

The propane engine runs strong but very clean, good old tractors.

That field is extremely rocky, I’ve gone through and picked rocks by hand but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. We have a welding/fabrication shop about four miles away that I trailer the Ford to and they fill it with propane. It probably only get filled twice a year which is about 20 hours of use.

It is a job, and a bad one to do every year, but sounds like a lot of rocks needed picking up. Other than that…. Good job!

Definitely a lot of rocks need picking, I have picked a lot of them and it is hard to notice a difference.

    Disc isn't doing much

It’s not a very heavy disc and with the rocks it only gets into the ground about four inches. I don’t use it for tillage, mainly just to cut the material on the surface and it prep for planting.
