I had a Crown too. The axle would not budge even after trying to press with a ball joint press. I ended up cutting everything out with a oxy acetylene torch. The replacement wheels came with new axles so why not... I am going to attempt to replace bearings only on 2 Crown and 3 Hyster pallet jacks. This time I am going to make me a pallet jack axle saver press like the one sold online.
We don’t recommend a hydraulic press to remove the axle as it is most often rusted into the wheel. No amount of force will free the axle. Also, the tool you are mentioning would be very bulky and expensive. But if you have extra time and money to burn one could try.
I just got me a free clark pallet jack its not very old 2005 model And plan to take those front wheels off an put some new ones on then repaint it so it'll look new
@@genericparts I'll have a look i did find some on Ebay. Im just gonna fix it up an repaint it then take it back to who was throwing it away and give it back because i don't really have any use for the thing. there's only plastic roller wheels so im gonna try an make some metal ones that won't wear down very fast over time and using the jack i do have 2 parts they don't go to the jack but they'll be the new roller wheels if they'll fit and 2 metal sleeves for the bushings
