Your videos seem to be targeted towards producers getting into sync licensing. But I’ve been wondering as an artist who works with producers where we split the royalties from streaming evenly... how can I make sure that both I and my producers get paid for sync licensing if it were to happen? what ways can that be discussed or negotiated in the contract? or do you have advice for this?

Hey Jessie! I had a question, i know you said that when submitting your songs to a none-exclusive library you should change the titles to avoid confusions between libraries, but what about when you declare it to Socan/ Bmi? Do you have to only give out one title? Thanks!

You would need to register the NEW titles of your tracks with your PRO as well (so 2 sets of registrations for each track - different titles for each). Great question!

@@SyncMyMusic BMI has an option to add alternate titles. I don't recall how additional titles are accepted, but I've done this myself.

Yep preach it. If you can negotiate a year EXCELLENT or would you say 3 years max Term?? You really don't want a library that isn't really into you shelf your best tracks when they could get placements else where

3 years is the standard IF the Library offers the Reversion Clause. Some Libraries may not offer it at all and it's up to you to calculate the kind of risk you're willing to commit to that kind of contract (not always a bad deal in my career).

@@SyncMyMusic absolutely I appreciate the follow up. I've been reimagining instrumental beds I'd had for sync and I've got a decent Albums worth of Instrumental tracks. I've noticed a couple of the last recommendations in Sync Edge seemed like they were open to working with an artist producer kinda working both sides of then fence. Thank you for all that you do.
