I would say so. I recently added a 2 inch topper mattress on top of the existing mattress in there for more comfort and was able to close it. It is somewhat of a tight fit though but I could close it.
I found the same issue with closing up, having to push the material inside the tent space. Kind of frustrating, especially during a cold spell as you mentioned. Love the tent though, great ventilation capability, and comfortable.
For sure! I was thinking the other day about a fix for it but the hinges have to go somewhere. So I don't hate it as much since it provides functionality lol
I have the same issue with mine. My concern is if it’s not perfect and you’re driving in the rain. That seal is not perfect and water will eventually make its way in. Have y’all experienced that. Sleeping on a moist mattress isn’t fun.
Main reason was the extra foot box. I started to see a trend of companies building tents this way and it seemed way more convenient to have. The other reason was to mount an awning and other accessories to the tent. Couldn't do that with the iKamper
Should look into the brand costco sells. Essentially the same but 1k less. Costco membership would pay for itself with the savings if you don’t have one.
Nice review. Are you able to store your bedding inside the tent including pillows? Thanks.

Have you ever tested an alucab 3r before? I'd be curious if you think one is better than the other
I have not but I seen you can pull the mattress up and make it a back rest. That feature alone makes it better lol
Wait why did you stitch up on the iKamper

Oh wow I didn’t know Costco made a rooftop tent. Honestly anything under 2k for a rtt is good deal
