@@MMATT1629 ordered it directly from the Shout Studios site… sometimes they’ll send it earlier. I saw several people posting about it that got it several days before I did.

What a sad comment, “if you can’t handle black&white”. Those folk don't know what they are missing. Cuckoos lay their eggs in other birds’ nests and the chicks take the nest over often killing the others from the nest - hence the title of the original 1957 novel. The Carpenter movie is better than the critics made out on its release but the British film is more atmospheric.

@@PrivatePrivate-so4if Thanks for watching! comment was meant in humor, dig black and white films myself. Interesting analogy on the cuckoos and fits the story.

As brood parasites, cuckoos do not raise their own young, instead laying eggs in the nests of other birds, which raise the chick thinking it is one of their own. That's where the title applies.

@@uranuslad9855 that makes sense, good analogy! Thanks for the insight. Can see why they didn’t go with that title though for the films 😂

What do you mean "if you can't handle black & white movies"! Some of the greatest movies in the history of film, were filmed in black & white such as Raging Bull, Schindler's List, The Elephant Man just to name of few. If anybody can't watch a "black & white" movie just because it's in black & white, then they're not real movie buffs.

I agree and dig Black and White films myself. It's just a warning in case some people can't wrap their heads around it. 🤣
