Lush Deep Dives: Who’s a fan of Ultrabland?

  • Made with just 10 beautiful ingredients, Ultrabland is one of our gentlest cleansers that will have you singing its praises. We dive deep on this one with Erica who’s back to talk about one of her faves and what makes it so popular with everyone who uses it. Just like a cold cream, Ultrabland doesn’t foam up on the skin. Instead, you simply massage in its almond oil-rich base (and maybe take a moment to simply enjoy the soothing massage you’re giving yourself) and then easily wipe it away along with any makeup, dirt or grime using a warm washcloth. It leaves skin feeling dewy and supple without stripping it of its natural oils. She even walks you through the best way to apply, wipe and feel fresh. And the best part? It’s perfect for all skin types. Check it out!

    ive been working at Lush for almost 2 years and I used to HATE ultrabland until this past holiday season! i’m not a fan of using a washcloth to take it off, so I actually scrub it off with our rolled cleansers Angels On Bare Skin or Herbalism and when I tell you my skin feels sooooo soft after using that combo! I always demo both ways on customers so they can see which method would work best for their lifestyle. I have hormonal cystic acne and I SWEAR by Ultrabland, it’s the only product that doesn’t dry out my skin while gently attacking my acne!

      I do the same! Well, almost...I wipe off the Ultrabland with a cloth and then use Angels on Bare Skin. My face has never looked better!

    I am loving these deep dives! It’s such a great way to engage people on a different level! I work at Lush and it’s things like these that make me love it more every day ♥️ Ultrabland is also my holy grail, even if I’ve had a long day I love having some time to myself to massage and cleanse my face before bed. It’s one of the first products I bought before working at Lush so I find it’s scent very reminiscent of that time where I started learning the wonders of the company and its amazing products/stories!

    I agree 100%, I wear foundation and was skeptical at first using this. But you need just a little amount and it will remove mak-up perfectly. I also have acne and sensitive skin and it has minimalized my break outs. My skin isn't red and I actually have this glow.

      Miva any product at lush with lemon or citrus would be good at minimising the appearance of wrinkles, so I’d say Ocean Salt face and body scrub and DEFINITELY Don’t Look At Me fresh face mask.. I used that the other day and made my face feel so fresh and tight :) ( I work at Lush! )

    Hi LUSH Team, I’m really curious about the moisturisers! I really can’t decide what’s really the best best best for my skin. The lushies at the stores are helpful but if we can get a deep dive on each about their effects and benefits and how it works for each kind of skin type? Maybe even a cleanser combination with which toner and which moisturiser?
    Sorry this is loaded but Lush is so fun and the combinations are crazy fun to explore. I’m curious what others do with their products :) I’m oily/combination and breakout and sensitive in Summer and I get Combination dry in winter.

    I just accidentally found that I can use Ultrabland for dry patches around my mouth, my cheeks and forehead (it’s winter now!). I firstly figured this when using my Lip Service out of emergency, then I thought perhaps I can also use my Ultrabland and it works! It works like a beauty balm. It works well so I won’t have to buy Magical Moringa which is quite expensive at the moment :)

    I bought Ultrabland when I was Oxford for a homestay program. I went to Lush in Westgate with my close friends and had a consultation with one of the worker there. She has an ig account but I forget the username. I told her that I have oily skin and acne problems and when she recommended Ultrabland, I was really skeptical because when I tried it it’s very oily and I feel like it’ll cause more breakouts me but I bought it anyway because it was a now or never situation since Lush isn’t in Indonesia yet. Let me tell you that I have not regretted buying and using it since then. It does the opposite of what I actually think of and it really help my acne problems even though I don’t have it as much as I used to. It works wonder and I couldn’t be more thankful to that lady who have recommended me Ultrabland. Also my friends and I had a great chat with her, she’s a literal sunshine! Can’t wait for Lush to open their first store in Indonesia

    My question is can us use this as a moisturizer for dry skin.

    • @HauntedMask24
      @HauntedMask24 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know this is a late response. Personally I think it would be way too heavy to use as just a moisturizer. Plus the beeswax in it may clog pores if not wiped off with a warm rag, however after using it does leave the skin very moisturized.

    Does the formula for Ultrabland differ for different Lush manufacturing facilities? As I've read on Lush UK and US websites, Ultrabland contain Iris extract, but my pot of Ultrabland supplied by Lush Japan contain no iris extract but contains Chrysanthemum flower extract instead. I know these 2 extracts come from different flowers. Why is there such inconsistencies in the formula in different manufacturing facilities?

    • @LUSH

      Hi there, lovely! Sometimes the ingredients in certain products will vary by branch depending on if they are able to source it ethically and sustainably. In the case of Lush Japan's Ultrabland, they couldn't secure a sustainable source of Iris year-round, so they found a suitable alternative with the help of Lush UK. We hope this helps!

      Rehab conditioner is the ONLY lush conditioner worth any money at all. If you want a good conditioner made with mostly natural products and no silicones, SheaMoisture is a way better option, my hair is very soft and healthy. Lush conditioners... I don't know what they're doing there. I went to cosmetology school and I know for a fact that stuff like strawberry infusions and wheatgrass or whatever don't do anything for your hair. They get rinsed right down the drain. "Vitamins" are not absorbed into hair, as hair is dead protein and has no need for them. A good natural conditioner is full of butters, oils, vegetable proteins and a small amount of ceteryl alcohol for emulsion purposes.

    FUCK YES!!!! I LOVE ultrabland! It is amazing! I just washed my face before this video and it felt exactly how you described hahaha! I also wore makeup today is it did get down to my lash line with no irritation. You also gave me the idea of trying some ultrabland on my one stubborn patch of eczema when you mention using it on dry elbows. I'll let you know how it goes on the next video. I got a question, are you using a wet warm towel to wipe off ultrabland? And I do agree with the comment below, grease lightning would be a good one! P.S. I use grease lightning on my bug bites to forget they are there c:
