The K4000 was also developed for cologne, and is now called the Flexity Swift family by Bombardier, used in Tramlink (CR4000) as well

I really don't feel that way. Small, overcrowded trains and stations, slow speed due to the lack of grade seperation, mediocre headways. I think Cologne and it's region really would deserve a proper metro. The length of the system with 200km of track is very impressive though, longer than any of the real metros in Germany.
@@PHONELAS7 Also Berlin has a good S-Bahn, which is very well connected to the Metro. I'd take Berlin's transit system over Cologne's any day of the week.
