    Hi! Please I need to know of which conductive metal are the RCA made, to choose the right RCA cable. Thanks!

    • @ESIaudio
      @ESIaudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      In case of U22 XT, the RCA connectors are chrome plated. Please note that this is not the same for all of our other products.

    Iv'e followed the instructions alot of times now but I cant speak trough my mic or use any of my headsets or earplugs for this. i was really exited when I got this, but after sitting here for a couple of hours trying to figure stuff out how I can speak with my friends, make videos and stream I'm just getting more and more mad cuz nothing is working
    please help, I really need it

      Thanks for reaching out to us.
      That's very sad to hear! Here are some ideas that might help:
      Sometimes in this case, the solution is pressing the knob on the backside of the interface as described in this article: kb.esi.ms/KB00273EN
      Also check if the Mic/HiZ input selection switch on the front of the interface is set to "Mic".
      En plus, it's good to check if you have downloaded the latest driver version. (In some ESI products, there is a CD included, but in most cases the driver on this CD is is no longer up to date.)
      Since you described that video calls are not possible, the solution could also be to alter the Settings in Skype or any other program you are using. Skype, as an example, privides the section "Audio and Video" in the Settings. This is where you can select your interface and the correct channel.
      If it still won't work, please send an e-mail to our support team, describing your setup as detailed as possible.
      Please also mention your computer (vendor and model) or what other system components you are using and what you have tried to fix the issue so far.
      The more they know, the more detailed they can answer: www.esi-audio.com/support/contact/

    • @ESIaudio
      @ESIaudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey, thank you for your feedback! Hm... maybe you need to alter your audio settings. When you're working with a Windows PC this setting can be found in your interface's control panel. You open that one and then you click on "File" and then "Windows Audio Settings".
      Another thing you could check is the little knob on the back of the U22 XT where it says "front / back". If you want to hear the sound on your headphones, it needs to be set "front".
      Hope that was helpful and you can go on recording!

    Hi! This video is so helpful, but none of the applications on my Mac (Audacity, Garageband, Bitwig) can recognise that my U22 XT is connected to the computer? I have a Rode NT1-A microphone and have made sure the button on the back of the interface is pressed in. I really have no idea what could be wrong and searched the internet to no avail. Any help would save my metaphorical bacon!

    • @ESIaudio
      @ESIaudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The first step would be to check if U22 XT is listed in Audio MIDI Setup (Applications > Utilities) and if not, then how the connection is made to the Mac (cable, adapters, hub, etc.). If you are not able to resolve the issue, please contact our technical support via www.esi-audio.com/support/contact/

    • @ESIaudio
      @ESIaudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SophieHewlett Please check that the correct input is selected since U22 XT not only has the microphone input but also the Hi-Z guitar input and the line input on the back. You can find info on our website about this here: kb.esi.ms/KB00273EN ... also, when the issue is listening to the input signal via the output (monitoring), you need to make sure that the In/Mix/Out knob is in the middle or turned towards the In section, otherwise you hear playback only. If you are not able to resolve the issue, please contact our technical support via www.esi-audio.com/support/contact/

    I selected ASIO in the settings but the audio interface doesn't show up when I want to select the device

    • @ESIaudio
      @ESIaudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you referring to Bitwig Studio? If ASIO is selected there and the audio interface does not appear in the selection, then the driver is not installed properly and it would be a good idea to reinstall the driver. If this info does not help, you can contact our technical support: www.esi-audio.com/support/contact/

    Hello,
    i first time did start the interface if i dont push the botton on the backside i hear my self and everything the mic records i just want to use the mic if i dont push the botton the mic doesnt work. Please help

    • @ESIaudio
      @ESIaudio  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ShortTimeStorys The button on the back switches between the inputs on the front and the inputs on the rear of U22 XT. If you want to use the microphone input, of course you must set it to the front inputs since the microphone input is on the front. What you hear (= monitoring) is a different issue: the InMixOut knob on the front controls if you only hear what is coming in (= In), what you play from the computer (= Out) or both together (= Mix).

    is there a tutorial for 8-tracks? I followed this video but I can't record anything. The installation is correct with everything working but I can't get the microphone to signal in the software. When I speak I hear in the headphones, but with no signal in the "studio"

    • @ESIaudio
      @ESIaudio  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The basic setup of U22 XT inside Bitwig Studio 8-Track is explained from 5:01 onwards. It is important to select the ASIO (Windows) or CoreAudio (Mac) driver for the unit. Then if you follow the other steps, you should be able to record. Since you are able to listen to the signal on the headphones, it means you have already selected the input source properly (we explain this also here: kb.esi.ms/KB00273EN). If this does not help, please contact our technical support and we should be able to help you - www.esi-audio.com/support/contact/

    It worked, but i have a problem, the quality is very bad, i can't hear my hi-hats or kick or any other low-end sounds, I can only hear my track perfectly for a split second when i click the 48V switch, and then the quality goes back to some poorly EQ'ed mess.
    Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

    • @ESIaudio
      @ESIaudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A possible solution cloud be to check the little Mix control in the middle of the interface. It allows you to control the input monitoring (i.e. whether you want to listen to the input signal in realtime or the computer playback signal or both). When the knob is turned all the way to the left (In), you can hear only the input signal. When it is turned all the way to the right (Out), you hear the output signal. In the middle position, you can hear both equally.
      If the problem still occurs, please reach out to our support team: www.esi-audio.com/support/contact/

    • @ESIaudio
      @ESIaudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      This could mean that the hardware monitoring is turned on. For U22 XT, you control this with the "In Mix Out" knob on the hardware. If it is between "In" and the middle, you will hear the input signal in realtime. If it is all the way set to "Out", you will only hear playback from your computer.

    • @ESIaudio
      @ESIaudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mihaela449 I assume you refer to the LED indicators that show the input level? If they are red, the signal is clipping and too loud. Orange is OK, then you are close to clipping and green shows it is a lower level and there is a signal. However, we still do not know what you are actually trying to do and what ESI products you are using. The best way is to explain what the problem is, what you are trying to do and what product from us with what software you are using and contact our tech support with that info: www.esi-audio.com/support/

    Hi!! I need your help, so when I recorded my vocal and there is some problem, it is not lound enought, I am trying take more gain but there are noise put in my microphone too much, do you have some recommendation for the situation.

    • @ESIaudio
      @ESIaudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are two ways to raise your gain on a technical level:
      The first is to raise the gain via the knob on the front of your interface. I think you've tried that already. So, regarding your noise question: Is the noise only in your headphones or on your recording, too?
      If it is only in your headphones, you can turn your headphone gain down while recording.
      The second way is to increase the gain in your software. If you record with Bitwig, click on your Audio track and then increase the dB level by pulling the orange bar to the right.
      On a non-technical level, it is also important to be very close to the microphone when recording and make sure, there is no background noise coming from the room you're in.
      We hope that was helpful!
