It is possible to buy a separate smartlink module, send it to another country and with my PAD5 scanner to be able to remotely diagnose and program from where I am and link both devices remotely over the internet, me in one country and the smartlink module in another country. Is it possible to do this ?
So on the other side - Receiver - must have SMART LINK B? I mean I have Launch pad 7 so in order to help someone remotely which kind of systems and tools required for the part at the other end?

That doesnt work at all. This is not true, you cant use from thousand miles away. Example here in finland you cant use it at all. It doesnt work here. Because every country needs own servers for this. I bought x431 PAD VII and tried buy that smartlink service for it here, local launch dealer says i cant buy it, and cant use it here.

This does not work in the UK, tried to setup my smartlink vci and it register it, says does not work in your country, what a disappointment 🙁
