    Great video. I purchased the 2021 Skandic 600 EFI wt and absolutely love it. Has just over 1200 km not a glitch yet. (Knock on wood) It has only burnt 3.75L of oil, fuel economy is what you expect out of a 154x20 sled. Right around 18L-20L per 100km I have been fighting to keep the wife off of it. She absolutely loves it, she somehow makes arrangements to drive it rather then her vehicle. We purchased the 110L storage box, ice auger mount and manual recoil. Linq connectors are cheap make sure to keep a couple extra on hand. First trip out the auger linq connector broke into 8 peices.

    No one really talks about this model. I changed the engine in mine for a 55hp 4-stroke with pull start, rad and a large (honda odyssey offroad) style gocart like fwd/rev transmission. Now it drives nice. Personally i think this sled would have been better served by a 550f engine. The 600 efi isn't any better on fuel or emissions and it gets considerably less range than the similar 550f models. For the price a basic stripped down 600 ace would make much more sense. The 600 efi has no dess, or modes and you do need the aux rad to get anything done with it. Seems to me to be a no brainer. I did it already. The 600 efi warm weather idle actually pollutes more than the 550f. The provincial govt has put restrictions on the 600 efi since no one can prove that's actually over all better. Don't get me wrong it's a nice sled to ride and all but it's no Ski-doo Nordik 50 or 60. The ski-doo Tundra WT model they had in Russia with a 550f was the same as this model except it was far more useful.

    Are the Skandic Sports shipped from the factory with the receiver hitch or is there nothing in the spot where the hitch is supposed to go?

    Any rough idea on top speed and fuel economy for this engine?
    Im considering getting the expedition sport with 600 efi.
    I want it for hunting, getting wood and the occasional longer distance 2-up tour day ride.

      Avg mpg is 13-15. Top speed is around 70mph depends on which sled you pair it with.

    • @Deltapowersports
      @Deltapowersports  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @PaxSylvestris I guess it depends on how you use it. We got our numbers from consistent trail riding on groomed trails with limited idling. If you stop and start and idle a lot, it will be lower.

    The track on the skandic sport has 1.25 lugs while the other skandic versions have 1.5 lugs. Why not a 1.5 lug on the sport version? Does it have anything to do with traction or flotation? Why 1.25?

    • @Deltapowersports
      @Deltapowersports  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Truthfully I think it is just a price thing. Some places like the 1.25 for groomed trails but we prefer the 1.5” here in Alaska

    what is the engagement RPM for this engine? Is it easy to drive slowly ? Thanks

    • @Deltapowersports
      @Deltapowersports  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Engagement is 2800 rpm but can be easily changed with clutching. You can drive it slowly with no lurching or stalling

    • @Deltapowersports
      @Deltapowersports  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Wilds Wanderer easy to do with a little adjustment in the clutch

      @@Deltapowersports what would you recommend doing to the clutches to engage at a lower rpm? And in what way would it change fuel economy, better or worsen it ?

    • @Deltapowersports
      @Deltapowersports  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@trappershane1718 add a little weight to the arms and/or a lighter spring. You may use a tad more fuel but insignificant

    I have spent hours trying to find fuel economy for this engine with no luck not sure why skidoo is hiding it

    • @Deltapowersports
      @Deltapowersports  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We are seeing 13 - 15 mpg on this motor. It could be a little less or more depending on riding conditions and throttle %.
