-- 2:08:05 Restart [Latvia's R. Berzins penalty for end of straight inside skater failure to give way, shoulder checking USA's Andrew Heo off end of straight, at 2:10:53]
2:11:08 Heat 7 (Kim Tae Sung) [Italy's P. Sighel penalty for in the straight arm block of Ukraine's O. Handei, at 2:14:11. BAD CALL. Technically Handei ran into Sighel's arm so it can be ruled an arm block. But Sighel had completely blocked Handei's passing lane, and the contact with Sighel's arm was fleeting and did not impact the race. The CORRECT CALL is no call]

Just watched women 1000m, Choi might learn from the starts in Beijing in which she lost in slow pace race but would have won in fast time. Shim is not bad, but judging from the performance in last 2 occasions, it looks like its hard for her to win any race this season. Despite it may not be a good practice in this type of competition, if Shim is prepared to become a pacemaker for Koreans in 1000m and 1500m, Kim and Choi will be benefited and may win more races.
