If it wasn't a happy moment they'd be crying over so called "clump of cells" and even then they shouldn't be happy. It had to have my appendix taken out, it wasn't a celebration of controlling my body, it was nervracking like any other medical procedure

My mom tried to have an abortion when I was still in her womb. Lucky me the pill she took was useless. Then she changed her mind and kept me. Someone told me this a few years ago by accident. I'm still feel horrible every time thinking about that until now.

Unfortunately I couldn't help but watch it. It was as worse as you can imagine. The worst thing about it, is considered one of those "fun" movies. Like it is a pro-abortion propaganda type movie that is disguised as a "see, abortion is no big deal lets have some happy-go-lucky fun" movie. That may be why some people wouldn't agree with this video's synopsis. Especially if they already think abortion is a necessary evil so women don't go get "back ally" abortions. The movie simply made them feel better.
I cannot imagine the horror of being a man who wants to keep the baby... but has no say so and has to stand back while their baby gets murdered.

My friend was basically forced to have an abortion by her mom when she was 15 and it haunted her. My grandmother, after having three kids, had a pregnancy that was such a risk to her health that it was a terminate or die situation and she chose to follow her doctor's advice to abort rather than leave her girls without a mother and her husband without his wife, but it devastated her and she went into therapy over it. It's very sad.

my mom had me when she was 17. I asked her if she ever considered abortion. She said it never even crossed her mind. She said that after I was born, a social worker came into her room and talked adoption with her and that she never once even considered that. I haven't seen my bio father in years and he never paid child support. I was raised by my mom and step dad who loved me like his own. I've been married for 4 years and just last year gave my parents their first grandchild with number 2 on the way. to think that these 30 years of joy, struggle, and love could have been erased in 1 hour of a day is so devastating. and yet it happens everyday. thanks mom

It’s so disgusting how in the clinic everything seemed really gloom with cool light and the two girls looked at each other super sad then when in recovery they were smiling and the sun was shining and the warm light.

A friend described, in graphic detail, the abortion she had at 4 months pregnant. It horrified me just to listen to it, and I couldn't comprehend how she wasn't tortured by nightmares after doing that.
In grade 7, while waiting between final exams, I wandered into an empty classroom. By the far wall was a metal locker which held textbooks for the subject taught in this class. Snooping around, I found a small paperback book and the cover intrigued me. Flipping through its pages I came across these gruesome photos of aborted babies. One photo in particular seared its image into my mind, forever shaping my view on abortion as the greatest evil ever invented and perpetrated upon a human soul: two tiny legs, two tiny arms, and a headless torso - detached and spread out on a white tissue. I was 13 years old, and I knew 2 things right there and then: this is murder, and I will never have an abortion.

I know someone very close to me who had an abortion when her fiance broke up with her and left her. This took place in the late 60s. She doesn't like to talk about it, but when she did once she was very upset. I believe it changed who she was/is.

Having experienced pregnancy now myself, I can’t even begin to fathom how a mom could abort a baby as old as 20-28 weeks after feeling it alive, moving, making contact. Talk about kind-body disconnect.

One of the worst parts is that the guy ALREADY had the ring in his pocket he was planning on proposing BEFORE he knew she was pregnant. This means he proposed anyway, despite the crazy surprise that marriage and fatherhood could theoretically happen on the same day. As honorable as it is, he didn't propose because he found out she was pregnant at least judging by the clip I saw.

Did you not watch the movie at all?? Veronica's boyfriend was a dick head and Veronica clearly didn't love him nor wanted to marry him. There are also MANY reasons for abortions, such as rape, not ready for a child, protection failing, the environment being hostile for a baby, or just the fact that they don’t have enough to supply a good life for the mother AND the baby (+ anyone else that lives with them).
It IS about their choice with their body because it affects them GREATLY. It’s not just “oh just have the baby it’ll be fine”, no. You are possibly setting that family up for failure by forcing them to have the child that they are not ready for/just really do not want to have for whatever reason, which again, is none of your business. Back in the nineties a show called real world followed a cast member to get an abortion. This person changed for the rest of the programs running. She was an energeticnhappy person prior to killing her baby and as you know right after the murder she was the exact opposite condition than the girl in the movie, she was in visible physical pain and emotional pain. The physical pain left but her personality changed for the duration of the show. I saw her in an interview years later and she touched on her emotional health and that was better, and she also said she wished she would have made the right choice and delivered the child. This is just me talking now, my ex sister in law had abortions and was told how brave she was and my ex at one point bielived it was wrong but then she had one friend in particular that used abortions as birth control and my ex went back to who old views and I definitely saw a change in her becoming pro abortion again because to think killing babies is ok you generally lack empathy and the understanding that all life has value.

When she got pregnant with our 1st daughter and we got a sonogram at 6 weeks she burst out in tears after seeing the images of a miniature human developing inside her. I instantly knew the reason she was crying but feigned ignorance and asked her why she was upset. I thought it was potentially cathartic for her to tell me. She did.

What I was referring to was schools allowing (or provinding means for) minors to leave school during school hours, to cross state lines (because it's illegal in their state), drop the minor off to have the abortion, pick them back up and return them to school, without informing the parents. That is legal. But the same school is incapable of giving the same girl pain relievers for menstrual cramps without parental consent.
@@jennyanswer42 Parents are the child's guardians, so something is either a decision that a guardian has to make or it isn't. Like the child doesn't have to have parental consent to choose which subjects she is taking. The school isn't providing the medical treatment a doctor is.

What I'm getting at is abortion, whether you agree with it or not, is allowed many exceptions that no other medical treatment is. If a minor had a drs appointment the school wouldn't take them, their parents would. If the minor had medicine that needed to be on a schedule the nurse would be in charge of it. If the minor was taken to the hospital for any other reason during school hours the parent/guardian would immediately be informed. If the minor was taken off school property, much less across state lines, the parent would have been informed ahead of time and would have had to provide written permission.
I know faults on both sides of the spectrum (the left in our culture promoting sex without consequence or relationship needed (obviously not all) and the religious right making it so the minor feels she must hide her "sin" because nothing could be worse for the family reputation than a teen pregnancy (again, obviously not all)) but, the legality of this flies in the face of everything thing else that we do to keep minors safe. If we don't let them permanently modify their bodies with piercings and tattoos with out parental consent we shouldn't let them take medical procedures with out it either.

One thing I disagree with... never get married just cause you are pregnant. EVER. I know way to many marriages that end up failing because of this. Just cause you have sex an make a baby does not mean you are compatible. A man should always support the baby/mother even if they do not marry. Just cause you do things out of order does not mean you make it right by getting married. Better for a child to be raised by parents who can co-parent successfully than live in a house with married parents who hate each other.

I have two friends who have both gotten abortions. Both were in serious physical pain for weeks, on top of having PTSD from the ordeal. And both regret their decision. One discovered her husband cheating on her...found out she was pregnant a week before so she terminated the pregnancy because she "didn't want a child with a cheater" (we are no longer friends).
