Thanks. The videos have been a huge project for us so it is good to hear your feedback. I'm still working on the videos when I get the chance so someday soon the newest videos will start going up.
🔧🔩🏆👏 This is the best DF Goblin how-to video series on the Internet. You guys did a professional, phenomenal job making this video. The detailed and clear instruction through every phase is commendable. Side note: the absence of annoying rap or metal "music" blasting in the background is a sign of true professionalism. When I run into those videos I quickly move on and look for something better. Thanks for taking the time to document how a DF Goblin build will go.
Thanks! Let me know if there is anything you think we could improve about the videos. We appreciate your feedback. Also, Part 2 - Stripping the Exterior is up now: th-cam.com/video/EMh0SclKHrU/w-d-xo.html
You should bring the donor car to shop that can remove the AC refrigerant while the car is still driveable, or still on the trailer (rather than doing that in video 3, and the car is stuck in your shop). Love this kit car project!
Be glad you didn't do a forensics test on that interior lol. I hope more people hear about the DF Goblin cause I'd like to see a Goblin 2 (or what ever you end up calling it) using other cars like this. WAY BETTER than getting that popular 80's kit car vehicle and modifying it.
Chase G. My dad and I worked on the next video today. It's longer and more involved because it gets the powertrain out of the car. I plan on working on it tomorrow so I can get it up this weekend.
We buy all of our donors from Copart.com. The next video is up. It started getting pretty long so I didn't get to dropping the engine yet. That will for sure be in part 4.
Same here! It lit the "kit car" fire. I've since looked at several other kit cars out there, but so far, for a lightweight road car, this looks to have the easiest build process and is more affordable.
_owen 124_ yup i blame him, personally i think this car would be amazing for a daily driver. maby not going to the store but it would be awsome just to drive around and for about 10 grand you can have this including the doner car
Should delete this video series instead letting your viewers spend hours getting to part 24 and there's nothing past that because the process became obsolete.
Awesome instructional, wish more companies took this kind of pride.

Luckily the handful of donors we've dealt with have been relatively clean. We haven't had to rent any hazmat suits yet.
Subscribed! Can't wait for the rest of these videos. I'm genuinely tempted to sell my current toy and pick up one of these kits.

Excellent. I'll be sure to give it a watch!
Do you guys prefer to find your donors via auction?
We buy all of our donors from Copart.com.

I used to have a chevy cobalt, I don't know if it was bad luck but we ended up replacing the engine 5 times (it was within warrantee)
Does it have to be a cobalt? What about an hhr or g5
who else is here from off the ranch
I am. lol

Would this be safe to build in a driveway?
Yes
roll down the windows. Sounds like the voice of experience....
Is it the same process for a ss turbo
It is almost identical as far as stripping goes. You'll follow the same steps but you'll notice the hardware you remove will look a little different.
@@Dfkitcar can you put a different engine in it?
dounat media sent me
Me too
