What I noticed first off was that unless your keeping the fish get it in hooked and either get a pic or let it go you shouldn’t take so long to do that your hurting the fish second off your setup was illegal your split shot should not be past four feet which from what it looked like it was not trying to be rude or anything just trying to make sure that we will have good fish populations that’s all, tight lines!
I appreciate the comment but so you know I did keep the fish. I only keep ones that are hooked in the mouth. And I know the rules.. my leader is never longer the 4 ft. How do you figure you can see how long my leader is by watching a video?
@@songthi1 from the video it seemed like it but if you say it’s not ok then and just so then you know from the video being a short video and no before or after mainly the fight of the fish I could tell if you planned on keeping the fish but have a good one steelhead season is already underway so have fun, tight lines!
@@carterb.6963 every person that has to floss to catch salmon never do anything wrong ooobbviously. They only have to line and snag them because they can't float or bounce 🤣
The fly line feels much better in my hand when I’m casting with it all day plus much easier for ppl to see while I’m fighting the fish so they know to where to go to get out of the way.
Your an idiot bro it’s way better to fish with a fly rod set up with regular fly line you get better drift and if you use fluorocarbon leader it sinks and is invisible you get way more hook ups and fair hooks. Mono floats and you just end up snagging them
Riversider 11’3” two hand rod. 7/8 weight. You can get one at All Season Sports website for like 70 bucks. Best rod for the money in my opinion. I am using an Orvis hydros reel. The newer ones of this reel do not have enough drag so I wouldn’t recommend that. I did buy a redington rise for this year and work great. Get the 9/10 weight if you do. 20lb 9 ft leader and 4ft of 16lb tippet. Bead head wholly bugger fly. Good luck

so lame man... Anyone who fishes knows that this is not nearly as fun, (or real) as catching a fish in the mouth. when a fish bites in the mouth they fight so much harder than a snag. this is because they meant to bite it, they are the aggressive ones. If this was in native watersheds it would be a whole different story, but have your fun here I guess.
The kid next to you doesn't stop fishing, back out when he should, or help you land the fish. C'mon man.
