“Going back in?” You never should have left the dock and put your family in grave peril. Then laugh about it. You must respect the sea and the weather. You’re not crazy, just inexperienced and foolish.
Why do all you people crab between the line and the boat? If you crab outside the line you can catch the ones you missed. Don't get it.
Is this the Choptank?
W
I run the same boat in the Everglades definitely not that choppy lol good driving brother lol
How far out can you take the boat?
You need a new line of work
I do some crabbing in Louisiana, just for fun and a good meal. Never seen this way before.
Best way to do it!
Baby koala
Looks like she handled it just fine. Nice navigating! I have a SeaPro skiff shaped almost exactly like yours. Handles a lot better than people would think & tons of fishing room. Glad y'all had a safe trip!
Since that one brown was a short why was the dude in the front of the boat more concerned with getting more rods out instead of just putting the fish back and THEN farting around with his gear? Seems a bit irresponsible. me.
My type of vacay go catch seafoods 😂 n bring them home .. yum
Watch until the end. 😂😂😂😂
getting better. by the time I get it, i'll be too old.
You can't catch crab with the radio on
Life jackets on everyone in that boat with that weather 👍🏻👍🏻
so lame man... Anyone who fishes knows that this is not nearly as fun, (or real) as catching a fish in the mouth. when a fish bites in the mouth they fight so much harder than a snag. this is because they meant to bite it, they are the aggressive ones. If this was in native watersheds it would be a whole different story, but have your fun here I guess.
He's so little
When the idiot drives the boat...
Genius level crab fishing!! That's an awesome rig you have there sir.😎
Thanks for sharing.
Complimenti
So cool. My friends did this for a living supplying crab houses at sandgates md. There were oysters too.
Nothing scary about those seas if you know what you are doing. The boat can take a lot more punishment than you can. Mistake number one is going too slow in the chop, I have a JVX 20, I allow the hull to do it's job and bring the boat to it's minimal plaining speed in heavy chop.
all boat slowbokang oong rabge

Had a 197 dLv and quickly got rid of it because I couldn’t do over 5 -10 mile and hour without getting beat to death and coming in sore . Own a deep v and love it. Night and day. My back loves me for it
wring
You are all trash people
That’s scary - hope you learned not to take young kids out in that….wow.
Crabs don't share their food. Because they're shellfish.
Lol
your son enjoyed him self the most i think, great stuff men.
How far away from the rail do you recommend putting your line lifter? Thanks
Beautiful footage. I can’t wait til next year!
Nice catch love going crabbing
Rookies, your "dipping" technique looks like a lacrosse sweep which is alerting and knocking crabs off down the line. Roller needs more elevation which allows you to scoop the net under the crab and secure it as it falls into the net. Weights aren't heavy enough or are sliding in the mud. Need a cull basket vs placing them directly in a bushel basket. Sure to get a ticket if you get checked and have any culls in a basket.
Looked a little bumpy
How did the boat handle it
Pretty well for a skiff.
goid eniuy buy one
I have flossed two this year perfectly in the mouth
Thank you for this! Here’s a little something for fun: th-cam.com/video/ucIal54_VLw/w-d-xo.html
What you have on there , what weight pole , line , and leader
Riversider 11’3” two hand rod. 7/8 weight. You can get one at All Season Sports website for like 70 bucks. Best rod for the money in my opinion. I am using an Orvis hydros reel. The newer ones of this reel do not have enough drag so I wouldn’t recommend that. I did buy a redington rise for this year and work great. Get the 9/10 weight if you do. 20lb 9 ft leader and 4ft of 16lb tippet. Bead head wholly bugger fly. Good luck
@@songthi1 👍🏻 thanks
Pullin the thing in backwards? shouldn't have recorded and definitely should not have ever been uploaded big thumbs down sorry.
The kid next to you doesn't stop fishing, back out when he should, or help you land the fish. C'mon man.
So sick!
Keeping a snagged fish. Horrible and illegal. Paying 85 bucks a person to illegally fish
That river is full of snaggers! And I just paid 85 bucks to fill my tank.. it’s not that much money anymore.
What weight rod n reel mind sharing your setup

Chicken drumsticks do the trick. I zip tie them to loop knots about 10 feet apart.
Wow. No fun getting caught like that How fast were you going?
5-10 miles an hour. It was no fun at all.
Some Jimmy’s there
Can you put a picture of ur prop stick up I like that design want to put on my boat
Sorry I don’t have that boat anymore. Now I run a Carolina skiff. I tried to see if I had a pic but couldn’t find a good pic for you.
Your baits are a bit to close together if you keep them about 15' apart you will get a better chance if theres lots of crabs. Also some bright color ribbon tied on the bait helps to see it coming up quicker. Just my opinion from doing it that way for years. Chicken necks work well for bait. If people ask you tellem its dog dicks they believe ya too.
Thanks for providing a good angle shot and a clear picture. Enjoyed it.
Thanks for vid. Can you add pic or another vide showing your entire prop stick?
We just took a fishing net and took the netting off and worked some chicken wire from Home Depot on it with some wire. Nothing special. I did end up making another one much deeper. This was the first time we ever ran a trot line so a lot of things were done wrong.

He did so good by himself!
