Planting Store bought garlic and a quick garden update Intro music is "Cat Tails" by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 creativecommons...
The olive oil turns to genuine garlic butter and the garlic toes are so superior to anything you've ever tasted before. Give it a whirl, you will not be disappointed. I harvested a ton of food again from my garden this year and I share it with family, friends, and my neighbors. My first batch of tomato sauce was "spot on" and I'm still dealing with all the excess ripening tomatoes in boxes that are ripening up. I'm interested to see your potatoe box results this year. Best of luck.
I've planted store bought garlic that I didn't use up fast enough and the began to sprout green shoots from every toe. I planted in early spring and harvested in the following fall. It was a tremendous success and I canned dill pickles and carrots like it was going out of style. I still had loads of garlic so I broke each clove into toes and peeled them'placed them into jars, added a bit of pickeling salt and covered with extra virgin olive oil. Holy crap, what a great way to preserve garlic
Thanks for the update am anticipating the results of your potato box this year. I will have to try a few bulbs to see the results. Your planting stick really measured up to the task !! Keep the info and updates growing our way :-{}
Minbound sent me...lol. I'm about to pull out the last of my tomatoes, might just give store bought garlic a try. Still have a little rain here from Karen, but should be gone by tomorrow.
I have gotten store bought garlic to grow quite a few times. About the third generation it starts getting really tasty. I hope you have some luck with those potatoes. They are looking really good. Just remember, wait until they all die off! (I know it is hard lol)
Thanks, I was surprised my corn did as well as it did. there are a few things i would do differently when i grow it again, its way too cheap to take up the garden space next year.
If you get two decent size potatoes you'll have done better than me. My corn didn't do well, late start. Late start for everything this year :-( Hope your Garlic experiment works. Tim
