- Studying can be tough, but it's even harder when you're cooped up in a dark, uncomfortable room. In this video, we're taking a break from studying outdoors to watch a rainstorm in the farmhouse.
As the rain falls and the thunder echoes through the house, you can feel the tension melt away. Listen as the rain pours down on the porch, and take a deep sleep to prepare for the next day of studying. Then, when the storm is over, relax and enjoy the sounds of nature relaxing you down.

In my mind every night i am back to this balcony. I suffer a lot and the night is my refuge, this place is my shelter ,where I'm alone and free to be who i am and feel my pian , My deep sadness , and without judgment. This is my place, i have another one too. A dark cozy room. Also raining. Always the rain fills my mind with peace and a joy which is different from my reality. Im so tired of pretending. So exhausted to have a digital refuge only. But still better than nothing . Living by faith when nothing changes is hard. This cabin is mine and is who elses wanna it too. One of the best. The visual is great as the lines of the porch railing and roof draw your eye to the rain overflowing the roof. The movement of the trees is hypnotic. Sometimes I watch it for a few minutes before sleeping, thinking should be there snuggling under a blanket with someone soft and warm, secure in the bosom of nature.
I appreciate that I have the privilege of sleeping indoors, in bed, under a blanket, while listening to the rain on the roof.

I love the sound of rain. I also enjoy the sound of thunder and lightning as well just don't care to be out in it driving. People can be so careless it freaks me out. I rather be home when it's like this. I listen to storms to relax me it's just something about the sounds of nature that brings about a calmness and peace. I am a Covid survivor after five weeks on a coma, two months Johns Hopkins my first visit outside it was raining the grass had just been cut.
I remember asking the nurse to stop as she pushed me out the door, I asked her can you smell that?
she replied what, I said the rain on the fresh cut grass it's wonderful.
Oh, how much we take for granted. Now every time it rains it take me back to that moment.

Reminds me of days in my childhood. Watched this 3 years ago with my Mother, who had dementia. It helped give me peace through the some of the days that were very difficult. My mother enjoyed it also, for a while. I miss her so much, but not what the dementia did to her. I’m glad she’s no longer in mental anguish, and physical pain. I know her spirit is with Jesus! That gives me peace. As I revisit this video, it brings back so many memories and feelings, happy and sad.

My wife and I rented this house for a two week vacation. Boy did it rain! Fortunately we had blankets, a crock pot (for chili) and popcorn. It finally stopped two days after we arrived and we were able to take in the sites. For those two days it was the best sleep we ever had (even with her snoring 😄 )

I can almost smell the rain after a hot day (don’t know if they had a hot day but it was a hot one in my imagination). I lived in PA for 20 years and experienced torrential rain with lightning storms like this. Several years we had storms that would drop 3-4” of rain in a couple hours. It was pretty spectacular. Now I live in an area that is happy if they get 20” in a year. Lots of sunshine, but I do miss the rain like this at times. Thanks for sharing your porch!

My dad loved to watch and listen to the rain.I knew that it made him feel peacefully and calm.I was just a little boy when he and I would sit together and listen to it rain and thunder.I always think of him when it rains.I know that we are always together,but I feel it more so,when it rains....I love you dad.Your son Jason

When I was a little kid, I used to lived in a house were we have aluminum roof. and whenever it's raining I love eating hot home made bread with peanut butter or pancakes together with hot milk, then hearing the rain drops from the roof made me very excited to cover myself with blanket and sleep. It's 93 in NYC today, and I've had this on for three hours (on a good system) while I write. My girl woke from a nap next to me, it was dark because the shades were drawn, and grabbed an umbrella to check the mail! She came back in confused as hell. Bwahahaha

Last day on earth is sounding better all the time. My only fear is making it to some asylum that is even worse.
I often think the same way peacefully into the rain they're certainly is nothing like sitting partially sheltered feeling the breeze and droplets of rain hitting you giving you the chills but at the same time your clothes give you the comfort needed to tolerate it's just a great combination of comfort it takes the mind into total peace
that will put me to sleep the right way peacefully. I dont need sleeping pills. I wish I was there😔😴
