It’s ridiculous… before he was popular he had released plenty of RAP mixtapes. Whether you like them or not. It doesn’t change the fact that he IS a rapper and is NOT cosplaying. It’s just a weird narrative he keeps running with
I respect Elliott for explaining his stance and defending himself against Charla. Respect. Charla went extra hard on him and I was like damn what’s all the smoke for?
What is he defending himself from, charla said he shouldn’t be #5 and he stated his reasons. He never said he’s a terrible “personality” Elliot is sensitive and can’t take criticism
Elliot might be a lil tender about all this. Dj Hed is right - it’s close to a decade of data of Wilson not being able to take criticism of himself. “To me he did” sounds soft af and buddy is in his 50s. “I don’t wanna diss him anymore” man somebody pin that comment. $1 says he does it AGAIN before Ep. 20.
I agree that Cole is on a different tier but not that it's one below Drake and Kendrick. Drake's only claim to that tier is being the biggest pop rapper. I respect DJ Hed because he likes Drake and probably wouldn't agree with me on this. But from a strictly rap sense, Drake is nowhere near a good enough artist to even be mentioned in the same breath as Cole and Kendrick, and I'm not even a massive Cole fan. He isn't even good enough to be in the same breath as Big Sean. As a pop rapper and RnB artist, I understand why people talk about him and include him but to me that isn't a good enough reason to be included in the big three, and it's what this beef showed. It was so lopsided in Kendrick's favor that it shows that Drake's hip hop bona fides are a farce and always have been, and the same was true for the Pusha T beef. Euphoria alone clears all of Drake's tracks for rapping, dissing, and culture. We don't even have to get into MTG, 6:16, and Not Like Us. If Drake sticks to his hits and leaves it at that we're cool, but the big 3 narrative was always nonsense. If there should be a big 3 Drake shouldn't even be in it, it should be Cole, Kendrick, and maybe Tyler, who represents a different sound in hip hop than the other 2 and has the artistry and albums to belong there.
