My first ever gold proof coin purchase was the 2016 Beatrix Potter. My only other gold proof 50 pence was the 2016 Battle of Hastings coin. Both of those delights appear in your collection here. I bought them as I really like the designs too. Mine remain ungraded, unlike my special year design sovereigns (mostly quintuples) which I started to collect later.
@@theurbancoincollectorNot purchased it in any size yet. I’ll look out for 70 grades and then determine what size I can reasonably afford. I will probably sell my BU quintuples which I subsequently replaced with full proofs. Retired now, therefore watching my spending.
Oh that Beatrix Potter coin is just fab.
Superb results, U.C. I'm guessing Numi delivered as he did mine too. Inspire the children is sage advice.

@goodasgold7167 did you happen to purchase the new shield design sovereign released this year? I'd imagine that the £5 would look amazing 😍

Why are the coins in the funny cases?
@paulstevenkelly to protect them from damage. They're proof coins which have been produced in a higher quality then bullion coins.
