Whose idea was it to turn this once great country in to a multicultural country. Our problems started when this began. I know because I’m eighty six years old and I’ve seen the change in our country over the years starting from 1954, then 1974 and it’s continued going down hill fast since. London, our capital isn’t recognisable now. I’m surprised we still have Remembrance Sunday. I should imagine that’s going to die out in the future. It breaks my heart.

Think yourself lucky you’re 86, you won’t live to see the worst of it. Do try to plan for next few years though, I know it’s not easy but ask yourself what if you need care. My fathers 92, costing 2,000 a month in care costs currently. Amazingly, he gets 3,000 a month in pension but add 200 council tax on a modest house he’s downsized to, which is in trust fortunately, 150 gas and electric, house insurance. It doesn’t leave much for food. The attitude of the state at this point is that all his money is theirs, no kidding. They really are out to steal the lot. An easy target, he sold and completed beginning July. The old council even demanded he pay the council tax in full for the year, cost 2600 more, then apply for a refund. We are currently demanding he is under no obligation to do that. Online they didn’t demand a letter of completion but over the phone they said he remained liable until such evidence was provided. Just to let you know. Be warned, the state is extremely interested in taking the lot and courts seem willing to uphold it even if unlawful. It’s all that corrupt now.

It was Blair that started all this in 1997. Conservatives allowed it to continue then to multiply unchecked and now Davos Starmer is here to finish the job.

@@ChrisAndCats Council tax. So he lived there until 3rd July 2024. Advised online he was moving. They insisted he had to pay council tax for the entire year, then apply for a refund because he doesn’t have to pay council tax as of the date of completion. I don’t yet know if we’ve resolved for him but I’ve had to get on the phone where they asked for a letter of completion to ‘prove it’. Not something they ask for online. Personally, I think they were and are just trying it on.

The voice of logic and sanity. Dr. David Starkey gets it at the highest level and explains it all exquisitely. Anyone in government, now or in the future, needs to listen to him.

      "damaged this country".
People with damaged brains elected a damaged coterie of politicians to damage the country and so far they are accomplishing the task brilliantly. Communism, Socialism and all the baggage that comes with these two curses on Humanity are damagers of society by default.
