  • This video is a follow up video on how to build a chicken tractor. If you have a coop without wheels, you could use this setup as well. All the materials should cost around $60. That includes the wheels. I use 6 8inch bolts, 10 nuts, 12 washers, 4 lock washers, 2 2 1/2-foot 2x4's, and 2 wheels. Everything was a 1/2 inch in diameter. This is the 3rd chicken tractor I have made, and it is by far the easiest one to move. I move it up a hill towards the end of the video. I can go forward and back, and the wheels stay up. If you like the setup, please share it.

Brilliant, mate. Just what I was looking for. Thank you. I’ll be making this add-on tomorrow to complete my new tractor for new mum’s :)

Thank you for posting this video. You gave me a great idea for my coop tractor I recently just built. I have built another coop tractor last year the wheel assembly is a pit different it gave me trouble moving it 2nd time. So with your idea on the wheel assembly I'm going to rebuild the wheel assembly on the 1st coop. By adding bigger wheels. Again thank you man

@@codykingsworld your welcome bro. When I first pulled out the coop out of my garage yesterday to move it to my backyard. I didn't have to use a dolly this time. I basically engaged the wheels and picked it up from the front I added handle bars from my kids old swing set and basically moved it like you did in your video. I can email you pics of my coop build if you want.

Perfect! Was drawing out my plan for baby...ish meat chicks...and wondered how to stop the little critters escaping.
Thank you so much for this plan that suits my ideas!
    Have a great year ahead.

That thing is sweet! How many birds can this one hold? Do you have room for boxes in there for them to nest in?

You could have up to 20 birds maybe more. I could hang 3 in the back. I have another one like this where I do just that.
