I am just one of Japanese Libera fans who have been listening to their songs for 20 years. I found out yesterday that Mr.Robert passed away last month...I am deeply sad and I can't express my feelings. He was definitely a genius composer but made the first priority the Libera boys instead of his honor. I'm not sure when He made this song but I can't believe this album is his posthumous works. I will listen to your songs forever...Rest in peace.

I love this song
Whatever the original intent of Once An Angel was, it also seems to very well describe dear Robert Prizeman's tenure with Libera, the question of his absence now, and faith in his continued presence. Robert was very nearly a literal angel to the choir.
Once An Angel may actually be about children reaching maturity, forgetting the angelic stories of their youth and losing that childlike heavenly connection. It ends affirming that those angels and stories remain with us always.
What happened to him?
