I had to use "Softrock IQ" to make it work with my IC-7300 and Duo, but it does seem to be working. Omnirig works perfectly, as frequency at the top of Skimmer follows radio. But the CW plots in the Skimmer "spectrum" window are slightly off their actual frequency.
I struggle to understand how the data transfer over the virtual cable works. Is the sound card hard ware of the PC involved or not? I got it working, but while the cw signals in sdrplay are clean, in cwskimmer it looks all foggy and noisy.
Hi Mike, I get mirrored diplayed signals on cwskimmer. for example my radio is on 14.040MHz and a signal is present on 14.041...on cwskimmer I see the signal on 14.039 instead of 14.041. Any idea? Currently running with CAT with my IC-7300 (rsp1 as a panadapter) everything else is ok

@@Garimeli if the two bands are within the 10MHz you can set up another VRX for the other band. There is only one receiver needed. If the bands are outside the 10MHz limit then you would need a dual tuner RSPduo.
When setting this up, I got the message "specified format is not supported or cannot be translated" from cwskimmer. I had VAC set to 96000....96000 and cwskimmer set to 96kHz. The cause of the problem was in windows sound settings. To fix the error, I had to change the VAC settings in 2 places (in the 'Playback' device listing AND the 'Recording' device listing). To change them in Windows 7, I had to right click on 'Line 1 VAC' - select properties, advanced tab, and change my default format from (44100 Hz CD quality) to (96000 Hz Studio quality).
Mike, did you ever do the follow-on to this video? I can make control back to the radio (SDRPlay and an Elecraft K3), if I use CW Skimmer in Softrock-IF mode. Wondering if you found a more elegant solution.
Is it possible to transmit Morse/CW at 200Mhz (using a LimeSDR or HackRF) and then use CW Skimmer (with an RTL-SDR) to decode? Or do the CW decoders (MRP40, Ham Radio Deluxe, etc) only work with CW at < 30Mhz?
Another variation on the theme is SDRPlayIntf for feeding the RSP1, RSP1A or RSP2 directly to VE3NEA's Skimmer Server or RTTY Skimmer Server. SDRUno is not used in this configuration. www.kkn.net/~n2ic/SDRPlayIntf.zip

Mike, I running SDRuno, CW Skimmer with RSP2 connected to my Icom 7300 with PTRX-7300 board. Everything works great but when I select IQ out with the Sync RX Mode checked it changes my radio to FM. Is there a way I can get this to default to CW? I can un-check the Sync RX mode and do it manually, but it would be nice for the software to do it. The Sync RX mode works fine when the IQ out is not selected.
exactly same problem here. The problem is that the IC-7300 does not understand the "IQ OUT" mode command. SDRUno should not send the mode change command to the radio if IQ OUT mode is selected
Is there any way to stop CW Skimmer from causing Windows Defender to spike over 50% CPU. I have a registered copy and it's unusable. Anyone else see this behavior.

Found the problem /// make sure bandwidth settings for VAC are also set to 192k in windows audio settings.

SDRUno output is set to IQ Out and 192k, but according to virtual audio cable SDRUno is only outputting 48kHz of bandwidth for output...

where is the LO ? I dont see it on my SDR uno . I just see the frequency and NO LO below it like yours
To display the LO, click the MAIN panel settings, select the INPUT tab and uncheck "AUTO LO offset"

Thanks Pat, when I used CW-Skimmer I ran into a lot of issues (omnirig related). I will revisit this possibly after SDRuno 1.4 is released.

Alps DX [FR] don’t know much about RDSspy but I think you just need the virtual audio cable, not IQ.
SDRplay already has an RDS decoder. What don't you like about it?
