This subject is super interesting. Someone even wrote a pretty good script…but then totally butchered it with a terrible AI narration. Some advice: Get a human narrator.
True
The decision to slow your voice 1/3 in was wild. I listened till then
The current state of this region is sad. They once were leaders in society.
Who is responsible?
Every rise has a decline
Father Time is responsible.
@@J_Jankowski anything you guys blame our religion. So your wife slept with another guy, you also blame Islam? Ridiculous. Illiterate on religion.
The region never truly recovered from Hulagu's massacre in Bagdad. Even when powerful islamic states emerged again the iraq area remained sidelined, colonization after the XIX century certainly didn't helped.
Lots of changes in temperature, rainfall and water levels in a relatively short timescale.
Would love to learn more about sea level rise you mentioned about 4 thousand bc. Super interesting it was a global trend !
Sure, in future will come to that
@@Anthromedia_asia definitely gunna Google that, but I bet a video of that would grab some attention. I think it lines up with the most recent climatic optimum
A full video on Holocene sea level rise
I find the AI voice intolerable.
Same
Not intolerable but definitely never replace Human voice
AI voice is OK not too bad not too good
Is it really A.I.....? I legit had a picture of a dude making this hahaha
Get use to it… But…this isn’t AI.
I found the chronological order and the nearly monotone drone of the speaker difficult to pay attention to. Suggest a redo.
I don't find his voice bad at all, just how it was recorded. It's muffled, with too much percussive bass, cut it some around 80hrz and a bit too compressed my guess.
"A bass cut at 80 Hz is a low cut filter that lowers the volume of audio signals below 80 Hz. This can be useful to remove unwanted frequencies from an audio signal. 80 Hz is also the most common crossover frequency recommended for a subwoofer. "
I think it's fine..
All the criticism is is true and not only that it repeats information over lots of information over and over exactly the same format
Love this, but why the voice slow-down around minute 15?
I had to speed it up by 15%.
I thought it was kicking in
Also some pretty bad pronunciations.
@@martinavaslovik3433 that’s cause it’s AI.
Just think of the archeological wonders beneath all that silt in the Persian Gulf!?
great video! really enjoyed the way you presented the history of Uruk. however, i can't help but wonder if the narrative oversimplifies the complexities of early urban life. some argue that not all ancient cities were as organized as Uruk, and it's interesting to think about what that means for our understanding of civilization. what do you guys think?
I LOVE that you’re putting out longer content man. This is exceptional. Great quality content
Thanks for your compliment
@@Anthromedia_asia Thanks for _your_ content!
👍 good breakdown. Interesting how the Persian Gulf wasn’t always as it is today. Changes one’s perspective on the human history of the area.
Well said
The geological history is great.
Another master piece of production on history of ancient Uruk
Thanks for the compliment
But use a human for Voice over
It is better to use a non- native language speaker than a robotic voice
But we still call it English
As the audience is global so modern English language must absorb all diversity into its fold to be truely inclusive and and a global language
Why did you slow down the audio at 15:50 😡? Not listening to the rest. It's just AWFUL!!!
A very detailed content with absolutely pure academic furver.
Great to see you like my content
It appears the Owner is a non native speaker of English as I see other videos in the channel
English is no longer a language of English men it is spoken all over the world
English people are not the only stakeholders of English people around the world speak english mixing local vocabulary and accent to it.
The owner of this channel is from India
It's a shame there's no tourism in these ancient towns and cities.
It’s even a bigger shame, that some Muslims choose to destroy this history, as they consider anything pre-Islam to be unimportant. Literally the birth of human civilization, “unimportant”.
I give up on this video and I'm only a third way into it
Robotic voice is boring and monotonous can't stand it... any human reading that will provided some enthusiasm at least!!
This was fantastic
Jericho was built around 9,000BC. Uruk was not the first city built.
Holy shit do y'all need voice actors or something?
Peculiar ending, but enjoyable.
(13:08) That is a reconstructive painting of Uruk, not Eridu.
Why slow down the voice?
UR - URUK - IRAQ
Mother of civilizations
Something seems a bit fishy at about 8 minutes in. Using 4000 as a population on 22 acres [10 hectares] yields a population density of about 116,000 per square mile, more than twice as high as Macau and Monaco, the two most densely populated places on Earth, and more than 5 times more dense than Singapore, which is third.
Clarification?
U also forgot that nw and sw Iran was part of Masopotamia. Also Jiroft and Dalma in Iran predates Masopotamia. There were no Iraq and Syria back then. Iran existed and is older than Egypt going back more than 3200 bce. Middle Eastern origin stsrted with Iran. This is already proven not just by archaeological evidence, but by religion, which started with Zoroastrianism where monotheistic belief system derived from. Prove. Also, Canaanites were the descendants of the Natufians and Iranians just to show u how much influence Iran has towards the origin of middle east.
I love the content and the detailed nature of it
I think you're in cahoots with the Creator this is absolutely horrible
Ur, uruk, Turuk, ce sont originaire grand familles Tourque Touranienne, civilisation Akkad ou Khalden. Sumerienne. Merci.
Missing, the development of woven cloth, as a major trade item. Textile, cloth, was mostly a trade item derived from the labor of women. And it was highly organized, and seems to have been controlled by women priests.
Do yourselves a favour: set the playback to 1.25x original speed (the narrator must have been drunk or high 😅)
I think the audio got slowed down too much
Nice documentry
Uruk. Where Saruman found his Uruk Hai
Uruk Ata Adonai, Elohanou Melech Shalom.
The name Iraq now is from Uruk
isnt Eridu supposed to be the first one?
YES
@SamDupree-bw4rt NO. Jericho predates Eridu by at least 3,600 years. Jericho already had massive walls and a 30' tower in 8,000 BC, a full 2,600 years before Eridu was founded.
I think this is a robot voice. Finito la Musica.
The first cities were in Cucuteni-Trypillya 1000 years prior to Mesopotamia. But the claim is really bold. Political agenda still rules.
@StryKhymorodnyk Nope. The first cities were in what is Israel, Syria and Lebanon with Jericho being founded 4,500 years before Uruk.
Your recording has a weird feedback that is causing reverb and making listening difficult. I had to stop listening after 6 minutes.
The first city??? LOL! Uruk was founded ~ 4,500 BC. Jericho had 12' high, 6' thick walls with a 30' tower by 8,000 BC. Byblos, Argos and Aleppo are also older than Uruk.
The voice became intolerable after fifteen minutes.
the greatest generation
At 18:02 you are using a map where the Black Sea is located where the Caspian Sea should be 😅
Maybe the first city in that region
Çatalhöyük is the first city.
Black Sea is mis-labelled at 17:55
I stopped listening after hearing "yu-frayts" for Euphrates
Me too after he so badly pronounced Ashurbanipal.
The American dialect is one of the most annoying in existence. The Yanks can't pronounce English in an acceptable way. It is a corruption of English. For example, WTF is a pupulation? WTF is jub? Stabilidy??
Talk about the actual city in your title.
Wasn’t Eridu the first city?
@All5Horizons Jericho, founded ~ 9,600 BC and sporting significant walls and towers by 8,000 BC. 9,600 BC puts it founding roughly contemporaneous with the construction of Gobekli Tepe.
Dear producers if you read this… Please change this uninspiring monotone voice. Thank you.
The voice is ok as long as the content is good
The content is good
Sounds AI generated
Mesopotamia is a greek name not a roman one…
If you listen carefully the narrator said this, but added that the Roman's used these Greek words to give it a name on Roman maps :)
It says, Where he’s attacking a lion. Well, that’s a Griffin in the picture!
So now its Uruk not Ur as the first is it. Why
Yes it is Uruk
I wonder if there were any Atheist back then ?
BCE is a rewrite of history. Had to stop watching there. Sad, as it seemed like a good vid.
lost me at "the you frates river"
There was no Palestine on the Map until the Romans renamed Israel in the 1st C. BCE.
Please update yourself with unbiased information
@@PedagogicalAnt No. You. The Arabs who now call themselves Palestinians used to swear they belonged to Greater Syria but then went to war against Israel and lost. That’s when they became the political group called Palestinians about whom nothing is mentioned in either Bibles or Koran. For whom there is no archeological proof as an ancient group in Israel. If fact is bias….
06:58, please dont freaking use a different cultural photo for Mesopotamian... geeze just do a midjourney image like everyone else... its better
When cousins breed for Millennia
6:44 2 millenia, not two centuries !
You lost me at Yufrates
SIC
It wasnt the 1st city 😂
Then?
Annunaki
The ai voice ruined it
Ok with the AI voice
I have a newspaper from Timbuktu dated 6755 bce so it was much earlier ?? Hahahaha 🤪🤪🤪.
Find a human to do the voice over.
I don’t think that is AI.
False history all the way round.
you mispronounced Euphrates
The use of BCE and CE is a sign of historical dishonesty.
Look at the position of the Black Sea….very poor! That is the Caspian Sea
BIG(GIB=CID=SITH=SETH)-UP(UD=DU=DEus=GOD=GOTH=CATHolic=SATHan=SETH)s...to(do=de(us))>THE(oS=SETH) RA(SUN)ise(is+es=os=god)...of UR(RU🌞=SUN)UK(UC=OS=GOD) . 🤩👌
NO THIS WAS NOT THE FIRST CITY I AM LORD VISHNU ENKI SHIVA YOUR LORD
A.i. is ruining youtube
Narrator said "You-frates" in ten seconds. Lost my view, lost my my like, lost my subscribe. And lost every last bit of respect. I hate AI voiced channels with all my being....
the great flood
AI stinks. There’s no real way to tell if this was the first city. Stop wit dat…
Not even 30 seconds in and already mispronounced a word. Im sure this will be a 'great' doc.
This channel exemplifies the laziness of TH-cam entertainers.
Why?
??
Jebo te BCE 💩 it's BC and AD
Is not BCE it is BC
AI voice. Downvote and move on.
Fake history
Can't even pronounce Euphrates. I'm not watching this.
