Tiny Rick ok funny joke but Spirit really isn’t that bad. If you want to travel somewhere in the U.S. just for a fun weekend, then Spirit is a cheap and easy way to accomplish that. Their service isn’t really that bad either, they have a pretty friendly crew and clean aircraft.

I've been on 8 different spirit airline planes 2-5hours+ in different airports in one round trip before... Was mainly suppose to fly from San Diego to Dallas.. Worst..experience.. ever...

Amazing work mate! Must say coming from a real pilot's POV this looks pretty realistic, Beware however the A320 does have a slower climb and descent rate than the Boeing. Another thing... Good video and good to see some realism in X-Plane, unlike Afp95 or Swiss001. Catch ya later!

In the airbus always check your ECAM, in this case the Takeoff MEMO was not completed ;). In case of a RTO you would not have had max auto brake
I live in Boston.
I was coming back from Florida on a Delta 737, and when we landed, our front landing gear hydraulic malfunctioned.
Now, this isn’t like that fan fiction, no the gear did not fall off, but it was not able to turn when the plane was in drive mode. We ended up being stuck on the runway, and we had caused a Spirit a320 to hold its take off for a long time.
Most planes were delayed 10 minutes, and we were pulled into the gate with a tow truck.
Me on the plane: *Sees Spirit* I'm dead...
Hoping these 2 tips help you with the A320
On selecting CRANK:
ENGINE VENTILATION (dry cranking)
A dry cranking cycle ventilates the engine to remove fuel vapors after an unsuccessful start attempt on the ground.
The flight crew can manually select cranking, by setting the ENG MODE selector to CRANK and the MAN START pushbutton to ON (MASTER switch OFF). The flight crew can stop the cranking by setting the MAN START pushbutton to OFF.
On before takeoff check (also applies to landing):
Check the ECAM Takeoff (Landing) Memo shows no blue text.

Hey Jeff, love the video, thank you. Just a friendly tip only, a better way to disconnect the auto thrust in flight is to move the thrust levers to match the 'donuts' to the current commanded thrust, then use the instinctive disconnect red buttons on the thrust levers to disengage the autothrust. This will avoid the thrust lock ecam warning. Keep up the great content!

Just a tip..... you don't have to push the page buttons to display items. The Airbus logic does it automatically based on phase of flight or movement of systemd.
For example on the flight control check, just move the stick and it will automatically bring up the flight control page. After a few seconds of not moving the stick, it will return to the wheel page and then based on thrust lever position on takeoff, it will automatically bring up the engine page. Same theory when a fault occurs or you push the APU master or whatever.
That reminds me of the time when I was landing in Fort Lauderdale last year. I was going through a thunderstorm and the plan literally dropped for a second and I remember seeing a flash of lightning right outside of the window. It was also almost midnight.

Don't reference the glideslope when you are below DA/DH and for descent just dial in the lowest altitude restriction from the MCDU (purple altitudes) into the MCP and VNAV will follow it down all the way for you - no manual intervention required until you are at minimums.
I live in the Baltimore area and it was stormy the day the This was uploaded. The airport is a great model.

If you fly in managed mode it will follow speed and alt constraints pretty well. Don't leave it on for too long though because the airbus gets pretty slippery below 5000 ft.

Hey Jeff, like you I am much more at home in a 737-800 , having broke my cherry in 727 way back in FS98. Pretty much, the Airbus feels European to me. lol! Left stick and all. Most recently have some hours in CRJ-700 and the 737, FSX for past 5 years. Like X-Plane dynamics and your flight with Spirit reminds me of many trips into KBOS from KBWI and KBUF. In real life, have flown with Spirit ( Who does a nice job for a economy platform) from KNIA to KMYR in the Yellow Bus you just simulated! You did great IMO. Again, been following you for years. All content, IRacing, GTA-V, Trucks, Westerns, you name it! Love it bro. Keep it up! God Bless...TCA
It's logical to have the sidestick to the left of the Captain and to the right of the FO, otherwise you would've had to change the cockpit layout. When you are flying a aircraft with a yoke, you'll be steering with your left handing and your right on the throttle. (Vice versa for the FO side.)
But, airbus sucks, and there are less safe than boeing. Boeing4ever.

You must go around if you get a windshield warning at all times, also on the airbus you're not supposed to disconnect the autothrust on landing. Otherwise nice video
You can disconnect the A/P during the approach. It's mandatory Go Around if you encount a Windshear

You set T/O trim as 0.4 Down, not up, you rotate the trim wheels the other way round... not big problem but ohwell

Spirit has the big front seat which is basically first class with extended leg room and larger seats in a 2-2 configuration.
