It took this episode for me to set aside his noisy af ranting persona that I personally can't stand and to see a side of him that is truly endearing. And not necessarily the nature of his every pick lol but he has an élan vital that resonates. And got to see a great listener and empathic fellow that is often clouded with his stage antics.

I know it's mainly a Catholic thing but I thought Carl's pick was really good. Beyond the spiritual significance, it's really the perfect age where you're starting to actually have memories now and that First Communion is a huge deal and one of the first things where you get to "do what the adults do". I think of lot of religions have some similar "coming of age" celebration so it's definitely relatable. Definitely a core memory for me
