Congrats on your 1st Salmon! My first Salmon I caught in Alaska was a Chum, and don't let the haters give you crap, it's still good eating. Seward is such a beautiful place, and just seeing the joy you had and the experience brings back good memories of my first time in Alaska! If you ever think about making it back to Alaska, come in mid July and fish the Kenai for fresh run Sockeye.
